pretty cool stuff. Mallet did better than i thought he did. He should do fine in the pros next year.

But when your QB ranks 38th in pass efficiency, and your offense ranks 108th. . .you might want to look elsewhere for the fault.

And all those QBs teams ended up like us....2 or 3 loss seasons..I'm not complaining about our season just saying that you have to have better than that to be dominate in all aspects of the game. Good post though

What is QB efficiency based on? Just completion %?
How do we account for 90% of JJ's passes being to his relief valve receiver 2-6 yards down the field?
FWIW, I'm a JJ supporter. Just curious how this is accounted for in quarterback efficiency.
Is YPC factored in?

NCAA Quarterback Rating Formula
(National Collegiate Athletic League)
a = (Comp/Att) * 100
b = (TDs/Att) * 100
c = (Int/Att) * 100
d = Yards/Att
QB Rating = a+(3.3*b)-(2*c)+(8.4*d)

I'm fine with Jefferson, and think it would be a mistake to switch next year. He's shown ability, talent and improvement, and has performed pretty well. Is he the Best Quarterback in the History of Quarterbacks, no, but that's not really a reasonable standard. He's good and has the potential for awesome. And considering the problems the O-Line seemed to have, and the playcalling, I think JJ's done quite well.

luckily for him, the 30 sacks he took didn't count against it.

Our interior line failed miserably this year.
Maybe we should blame JJ for the drops by our WR's, too? Since we are going to blame him for everything, why not be consistent?

He's got issues like taking too many sacks, not throwing downfield enough and taking some chances, and fearlessness. I agree with you though that the efficiency rate is prob what kept up from being a 7-5 team this year, if we had the # of turnovers we had last year with this putrid offense, we would have lost a lot of game.s

He took sacks that were drive killers

Lee's in 08- 116.93

You say he "took" sacks. I say the O-Line "gave up" sacks.
What percentage of all the sacks would you say were 100% Jefferson's fault?
