Its been pointed out ad nauseum that his pass efficiency is based on his short, no gain, and losses on completed passes.

If you factor in the 100+ times he got sacked or ran for 1.53 yds per carry, his efficiency sucks. But since he just ate the ball, it doesnt really reflect on how poor the offense ran with him at QB.

But you cannot hide this with his QB efficiency, 108th in offense and last in the SEC
That's all I'm saying. When you have a QB that rushes 104 times, throws 272 times, he is directly engaged in over 50 percent of the offense.

He doesn't know where to go with the ball, unless its a screen pass. He held the ball entirely too long this season, and as a result took a number of sacks. He has a bad habit of moving back, instead of taking a step up into the pocket. Pre snap penalties, and sacks almost constantly had us in 2nd and 3rd and long situations. He was sacked 30 times in 11 games. So, just under 3 possessions a game were guaranteed to be long yardage situations. That does not set the table for successful offense production.

amongst just soph starters, JJ was ranked:

13th of 17 - total yds
12th of 17 - TDs
15th of 17 - yds per comp
17th of 17 - sacks
15th of 17 - tot offense

And those worrying about switching to a freshman. Rankings of freshman compared to JJ:
9 FR had more yds/game
2 FR had more TDs
8 FR had more yds/comp
6 FR had more yds/att
8 FR had more yds
Only 1 FR led his team to less offensive production

I see what you did here. Passing efficiency stats poked holes in your argument so you changed to total yds etc.
Offensive output can be skewed according to offensive system. Remember Hawaii's offenses under June Jones? What about Petrino's offenses at Louisville? Texas Tech under Leach? I guess your argument would be all these Qb's were great because of the stats they put up. Where are they now?
You don't mind trashing the Qb but give a pass to the guy calling option plays for a Qb with a bum ankle.

tigerlee and robbbob, how many times do you have to get owned on this subject. We had no running game at all. JJ put up the same stats as mcelroy and bama fans are loving him. He had more yards per attempt. Higher qb rating and far less int than MATT FLYNN

you have from the moment you started argueing this topic. If you give him a running game and some pass blocking the kid shined. If you cant see that then you just don't want too. Also you asked what did jj do against ark. That he didn't do against wash. He took far less sacks in the ark game and he led us on two game changing drives to end the game. I guess you don't remember that or the 30 yard run he made against georgia which should have been the game winner.

First of all Im not arguing any topic.
I just dont think JJ is that great.

Secondly, I dont know how many sacks he took vs washington however someone posted few mins ago he took 3 vs ark.
As far as Uga, thank god for RR who made the catch to continue that drive, remember the play? It's the one around mid-field that was thrown 5 feet behind him.

Im not sure why you love JJ so much.
Its sorta creepy.
I dont dislike him and as of TODAY I don't think he shouldn't be our starter next year.

Its just IMO he's an avg at best qb.

Oh, and BTW do yourself a favor and quit cussing so much and labeling everyone who disagrees with you a racist.
It makes you look more stupid than you already are.

failed again.
He is rated better than many who had better completion percentage. Yards, TD's, and INT's are all factored into passer efficiency rating.

Marcus Randall had a 139 QB rating his last year, and he was just splendid
That's a completely different sample size, Lester. Randall was never a full season starter.

good thing is, when he was "on", he was really good. Its just that was half the time he was in. If he can play like that consistently, i will feel fine with him at QB.

but he has proven that he is a half to half player. Its amazing how good he can look 1 half and how shitty he looks the next
If you want to see the difference, and why, just watch the first couple of offensive snaps in each half. If the OL is getting dominated (which was most of the time this year), JJ plays like crap.

That's what he does. When you nail him, he moves the goal posts.

Bottom line is if Crowton stays, Miles isnt laying the blame for the 108th ranked offense on Crowtons shoulders.
Well, if belowpar is correct (and he usually is), Les wanted to fire him. . .but was essentially overruled.

really not stupid i have an engineering degree from lsu so yeah. But you personally attack players from my team. I say my team cause i know you'd rather jj fail so you can say i told you so. And when a qb(jj) has put up the same numbers as a qb(flynn) you love to say is the best then what else can it be but racism? Tell me. Did matt flynn suck?

Most people who are constantly ridiculing JJ are the same ones who wanted Lee to start the season.

They realized how wrong they were during the LA Tech debacle, and have transferred all their unwarranted hate to Jefferson.

McElroy did this with a much better OLine, a much better running game, a much better OC, and much better playcalling. Yet, it's Jefferson that's our main problem on offense.

i don't care. This board mean very little to me. All it is a hate forum so people can personally attack 18 19 20 yr old kids who give their heart for p&g. If admin wanna ban me for telling those people to frick off then so be it. And tigerlee said jj was ignorant and couldn't start for any other school in the sec.

yeah, I watch the games.
I can mail you my tix stubs from washington, uga and OM if you like.
Since you dont want to answer the question Ill be more specific.

Does JJ do the following better in game 12 than in game 1

Read Defenses?
Avoid sacks?
Throw the ball with any kind of accuracy past 7 yrds?
Make defenses "back up" b/c of the potential of throwing the football past them or "over their head" as some coaches put it.
How about 3rd efficiency?
How about holding on to the ball?
How about leaving the pocket too early?
How about his progressions? what game or point in the season did he develop the ability to find his second or third option on a pass play when his primary wasn't open?
And just for shits and giggles where was the improvement on running the option?

One final question, speaking of improving and obv "everybody see that or they are just blind"
How did we fare in offensive ranking from game 1 to 12?
Let me guess, we went from 108th to 106th.
I suppose you are right, that is improvment.

really?
Is there anyway you can show proof of that?

Its one thing to be stupid, quite another to be a liar.
