Now I know we really cant be like the Saints offense but my god we have the talent to mimic their offense.
I know we dont have a Drew Breeze at QB but our receivers are dominant as is our TE.
We should be taking alot of plays from the saints playbook and getting our guys to learn them.

Receivers:

Tolliver
Randle
Shep
C. Tolliver
Calhoun

TE:
Peterson
Mitch Joseph

RB:
Ridley
Ford
Murphey
Ware
Shep

QB:
Jefferson
Garrett

Oline:
Should have the size next year to be better and more physical.

You need someone who can get the ball to your receivers consistently and accurately and we don't have that.

still the scheme is not overly complex and could be simplified even more for the college level. A good portion of the saints offense revolves around many plays starting the same way and then variations coming off of the same starting look. Our offense scheme this season was just the opposite.

Yea I know, it just aggrevates the shite out of me every sunday when I see them make it look so easy.
I like the Saints but love my Tigers.

We have all the position players needed to be one of the best offenses in the nation. We just lack the qb and coach to maximize all the talent on the field.

you're talking about professional adults who spend all year working on football and have unlimited tools at their disposal versus college kids who have limited time to learn and prepare and have school on top of that

I love the Saints too, but it took so many years of complete and utter frickups to get to where they are. And they haven't really won anything yet...
I'd rather go with my delusional 'once every four years' than the Saints once a century.

I agree with you 100%
Why cant we have 10 packages but have about 10 different schemes out of each package. It makes everything easier for our offense and keeps the defenses guessing. Be the best at a couple things is better than being decent at a hundred things.

It seems as if Crowoton has 20 different packages and 1 look from each package. Everyone knows that when we line up a certain way, exactly what we are going to run.

Pilot Tiger,

Once again, why cant we learn 10 different packages that have about 10 different schemes under them? Have a qb be able to run them to perfection with his eyes close and force teams to guess which of the 10 schemes are about to be run under that package.

I would rather be perfect at a couple of things than be decent at alot.

What you just said. That's exactly what I'm seeing with our offense also.

JJ doesn't have to be Drew Brees. In fact it would make it simpler for him to not have 50 different schemes. You can just build off of what you master.

Uh, LSU is a COLLEGE TEAM and the New Orleans Saints are an NFL team. That is why LSU can't be the "college version of the Saints". Every player on the Saints roster is so good at the game of football that they get paid to play football, whereas college players are not paid money to play football, instead they get free tuition, room and board, food, and Nike clothes. So what works in college (the spread offense) does not work in the NFL and vice versa. This is because of TALENT and EXPERIENCE. No college team is even close to an NFL team in terms of talent.

You want the Tigers to be like the Saints THIS yr. The past two yrs the Saints' record would have gotten CM fired: 500 & below 500.

Sean > Les
Brees > Jefferson
Colston > Lafell
Meachem > Toliver
Moore > Randle
Bell = Scott
Bush > Holiday

Do I really need to keep going?

college and the pros is like high school and college; HUGE differences. drew brees is a special QB that can see the whole field. guarntee you he wasn't that good in college (or even his first few years in the pros). the saints would not be who they are w/o brees.

easiest question ever answered-\--we don't have
Peyton as coach or Brees as QB.

I'm just talking about one aspect of their offense, not their personel.

Honestly, we should match the Titan's Off with V Young at quarterback. Watched them against the Texans and we have the same type of personnel as they do and they made it look easy..and best part is..it's not a complicated off. Everybody needs to realize that the Saints have some really smart skill position players, Devery/Colston/(took Meach 3 years to learn it)/Moore and even Shockey are all really smart football players..
