Hopefully, the team is confident, but not overconfident.

With regards to Miles' perfect bowl record at LSU, someone posted an interesting stat which I can't remember exactly, but it was something to the effect that LSU played really well in bowls played in New Orleans and in Georgia (Peach), but the recent bowl record in bowls played in Florida was not as good. Stats are merely stats and trends are merely trends and neither guarantee a loss or victory in the next game.

I do somewhat agree that some fans are now taking it for granted that LSU will automatically play well in every bowl game under Miles... I guess because an underperforming LSU team suddenly looked sharp against GT last year.

Hopefully Miles and Crowton will figure out ways to get yardage from Ridley, Holiday, Shepard and our o-line. That to me will be the most interesting aspect of this game—to see if they can actually do something here. Anyway it should be a very close game. Anybody''s game.

Not saying we won't win, but all this talk (from SOME of you) about blowing them out is not supported by evidence.

We will beat them handily. I know that all of you Miles haters want the Tigers to lose but it will not happen. We will when with style. And about this lack of "evidence", see last season. We were much worse and we embarrassed GT. The evidence: our roster v Penn's (we have far superior athletes on both sides of the ball and up and down the sidelines on the bench). Giving a bunch of future NFL draft picks a month of rest to prepare for a game gives LSU a strong advantage. LSU 38 Penn 17

If the playcalling is like the first half of the Arkansas game I think we win by at least 10. If the defense brings the heat like they did in the first half of that game we could win by 14-21 points. But I'm not holding my breath.

agree with you. THe past 4 years have all been easy bowl games with the teams we had. I mean miami from the ACC vs our 2005 team even with no Russell, still ended just how it shouldve. In 06 we started the down fall of Notre Dame and Charlie Wise which still makes me laugh. Then in 2007, we were the best in the country and tOSU never had a chance unless the game was only 5 minutes long. And last year we went against a wierd scheme that was easy to scheme against with a month to prepare. This year we are no where near as dominant as we were in 05 06 and 07 and dotn have the luxury of going against some fancy option/ easy to plan again crap.

I'm not making any brash predictions about the bowl game, as I think it could go either way. That's why they play. However, I expect all you people who authoritatively say we're going to blow PSU away to be here to take your if it doesn't happen. Same goes for those that are on here saying (and maybe hoping) we could never win it.

After the quality of play I witnessed this season, I see no reason to be confident about soundly beating a very, very good team in PSU.

Then don't watch the game.

We're a 3 pt. underdog - how can we not be over-confident?

LSU will not blow PSU out. Will be close regardless of who wins. Neither team has the offense to truly blow someone out.

If we WIN in a close game I will gladly admit I was wrong about my prediction...not going to lose sleep over miscalculating how many points we won by...far too many idiots on this board forget that a WIN is a WIN. But I still believe we will win handily. Two or three possession game. Their offense will have a tough time against us to say the very least. Our offense is going to play one of their best games of the season like they do every bowl game.
