Either give us a playoff - or return to the old system.

The BCS sucks. I like that LSU has won it twice but its really just a coincidence its worked out in our favor.
Either bring back the old system where there is no collective effort to match #1 and #2 - and everyone argues who the real #1 is at the end of the year - but some years by magical coincidence #1 and #2 wind up in the same bowl and its awesome.
Or give us a playoff. One of reasonable size. Not too big. Like 8 teams.
The BCS is a bastard child of a playoff and the old "every bowl for itself" tradition - and its ugly as hell.

and it's fricking effective. it has always crowned the best team as champion. there is only a real debate in 1 year (2003)

I have yet to see a playoff format that everone can agree upon. I think the BCS is the best way.....and people DO NOT get that it generates more interest than ever imagined.

because their argument shifts and is molded around "inclusive" arguments, however they lose sight of the reason for a title-determination. plus they realize people will bitch even with 8 teams

Did your parents have any kids that lived?
So you would prefer 1984 when BYU won a MNC by beating a 6-5 Michigan team?
LSU would not have won the 2003 or 2007 MNC without the BCS.
Are you 11? Do you even remember what it was like before the BCS or hell just go back to before the Rose Bowl joined the BCS.
I am not saying a playoff wouldn't be nice but to go back to pre BCS is just stupid and shows you have no clue about history.

Squat? TCU and Boise are set to make more from their BCS payout than the programs would have made in 10 years of non bcs bowls.

Can you read?????? Where do I say I liked the old system better? I state that I like the BCS. I also state that a playoff system cannot be agreed upon.
