Losing Big Herm is probably underappreciated. The interior OL was too small IMO. T-Bob shouldve been 2nd string and we had no decent FB apparently. I saw Hitt out one night, and he is big, but not as big as you'd expect from an LSU lineman.

LSU only lost two starters in the OL; Johnson at LG and Helms at Center. That other team with the coach we can't mention lost THREE starters in the offensive line (Andre Smith at LT, Antoine Caldwell at Center and Marlon Davis at RG) AND had a new starter at QB. They went undefeated AGAIN with all the newbies and will probably win a NC with all those newbies.

Blame our former OL Head Coach and the current OL coach for both the OL suckage play on the field and the weak OL recruiting. Our current OC gets a big assist too for trying to run too much and too complicated packages/formations/schemes for the experience/mental abilities of the starting QB.

How can that unmentionable team be just as effective offensively in 09 as they were in 08 with 3 new 0L's and a new QB?

Ever heard of the Occham's Razor Theory? All things being equal, the simplest explanation is usually the correct one.

It's COACHING stupid...........

The fire in the belly? Why don't we just focus on real shite like his inability to teach fundamentals of blocking and his/Les's inability to scout or lock up decent OL prospects

THIS - and Stud is more a Zhlub

Also, there is NO BLAME on the coach's shoulders for Ciron Black this year.
According to the Rant, nothing is Les Miles fault, even though he is the head coach. He gets to frick it up, admit it, then start all over again the next year with new recruits/staff.

Next year...rinse, wash and repeat.

I was expecting Black and Hitt to have great years. They both showed up out of shape. Strange.

Fundamentals are bad from a physical standpoint. Assignments are routinely missed.

Biglego, watch what you say about T-Bob although it is the truth. You will be accused of being the grandpa of PJ Lonergan or accused of hating the Hebert family.Bobby Hebert says a great offense starts with a great center and conversely a bad offense starts with a bad center. I totally agree with Bobby.

Name one LSU coach right now who has this, just one. Brick is borderline, I'll give him some props, the rest of them are statues and casual observers on the sidelines.

The OLINE has gone down each of the 3 years Stud has been here. This year was really bad.

AG, I agree with Bobby as well. A good Center is crucial. T-Bob is not there yet but he is heading in the right direction. Mentally he is ahead of the curve, phsyically he has work to do but the foundation is there. Furthermore, he is the best option we have & that is the truth Size argument- come on! Helms was 15 lbs lighter. Based on the severity of the knee injury T-Bob had to fight through, he is truely a warrior in my book. I am strongly of the opinion that our Starting center is not the root of the problem.

he doesn't have any room for fire. He consumes a whole bucket of Popeyes chicken every day.

He was heard once screaming at Trindon... "Get in mah belleee"

The o line play was awful this year like the entire offense because of 2 primary factors. 1) QB play 2) Coaching not adapting to players skill sets. Truly great coaches adapt their system to fit the players they have. The offensive tried to do to much for the players they had. They needed to dumb the offense down a lot! There also seems to be a real lack of passion in the blocking up front. I think that comes right from the top.

Stud is not the olny problem with the Offense but he has to go!

Immediately if not sooner would be good.
