How does this happen? Seems like Lutcher would put 8 in the box and make them pass. Sounds like Lutcher was outcoached and outplayed.

They did but when you have to put your star 5'10" 180lb WR at LB and then move your "Tulsa commit" CB to LB you will probably get pushed around.

lutcher parent on another board is whining that LHSAA should have postponed the games because of hypothermia for lutcher players....

After Lutcher attempted to pass in their first position and couldn't even get the ball 5 yards you learn quickly not to try something. Neville just had a bigger line and used it. Lutcher played a terrible game and gave Neville terrific field position on almost every single drive. Neville came in and did what they had to do but the water logged field did help to neutralize Lutcher's attack.

Lutcher came into the game with 2 players that had over 1000 yards rushing. They should have been able to run the ball.

If you watched the game, you would have seen that whatever Neville did, they did well. Lutcher was snake bit the entire game. The weather made that field sloppy, and it looked like Lutcher was affected alot more that Neville. The coach or the Principle for Neville did say at halftime that they played in the rain for all but one (I think) game this year, so they were ready. Does anyone know if Neville's OB is a Senior or a Junior? Before the Lutcher game, he had 2900 yds of passing for the year.

turn the ball over 3 times in first half against a good team - a blow out is highly likely.

True, but for a high school QB to throw that much with good running backs makes for a good offense. Is he a Senior or Junior?

Lutcher's QB is the one with 2900 yards passing. Now he has 2905. Neville's QB is a SR and committed to LaTech.

Thanks! I thought it was the other way around. Where is the Lutcher QB going or does he have another year?

I spoke to the white hat from that game and he told me it was so wet and cold that he went to pull his flag to throw it and he couldnt feel it. He looked down and it was in his hand but he had no idea he had it. Then he went to throw it and he couldnt so he just dropped it.

he also told me a few times he tried to kill the clock with his whistle and his teeth were chattering so bad he couldnt hold it in his mouth.

He said kickoff was 36F and the rain was falling sideways from the wind.

He has some offers from some small D1's. He's supposed to be a damn good baseball player too, so he has that option as well.

Thanks. My uncle was the Umpire for the game. I haven't talked to him yet, but I guess that he froze as well.
