I don't see why Carmichael would come be LSU's OC when he is already an NFL OC and turned down the same position with Dolphins (and he would have called plays with Miami). Wouldn't he also have to take a pay cut to come here as an OC as well?

could want to get out of payton's shadow and call his own offense.

I wish cam cameron were available since he and Miles are very good friends.

it isn't reality but here a few things to think about:

He isn't the real OC, Payton calls all of his own plays

he is 36 and has young kids

he has been with Brees for DB's entire career as a starter

he would get to call his own plays and make a name for himself

he would probably like the easier life a college coach enjoys
