would the meltdown be huge right now?

Seeing the replay indicated that the call could have gone either way.

Clock management was marginally better but by no means excellent.

Jasper, player of the game IMO.

I would have to give it to Chad Jones on those two hits.

Arkansas had a substitution infraction on their first field goal

It was a stupidly run play regardless. He was almost taken down in the backfield. I'm trying to not bitch to much but this coaching staff make me fricking livid.

Well, we'd have a 3rd down at the 41 with about 17 seconds and the clock running, if we wouldn't convert, Jasper is trying a 58 yarder for the tie.....IMO, huge meltdown

He didn't get out of bounds. They called the same play that lost 7 yards the week before.

I've noticed that quite a few football games have calls that could go either way...kind of bizarre really

that surprised me--as well as what happened to the Titans yesterday. I figured after our fiasco in Oxford, every team would realize it could happen to them and they'd be more prepared.

Whether or not he got out of bounds does not excuse the call. A screen pass that more often than not will result in Ridley going down in bounds is not a smart, high percentage call.

W/o a fumble by Steorner in the closing minutes, Tenn would not have won a NC in 1999. Further, ARKY could have simply ran the ball and won that game and knocked of #1 TENN.

if you heard Miles' presser after the Ole Piss game, he said that there is now a play in place in the scenario that they've encountered the past two games. he said that they have a play that they can run in situations like that. apparently, that is the play, since they ran it twice that last drive when they needed a quick play.

I would say the replay was pretty clear that he was down in bounds. But yeah Jasper is a beast out there.

That play needs to be removed from the playbook. It isn't working. At least don't run it in the second half.

Regardless of that play, on the second swing pass (which was more open and he had no problem getting out) if for some reason he doesnt get out... GAME OVER
