Posted on 11/29/09 at 11:50 pm to alexanderjo

Don't want Weis in Baton Rouge. It would be funny to watch Saban leave Alabama to go to Penn State/Notre Dame/(Insert any other school).

Not gonna happen. An NFL team could pay him up to a couple of million or more to be their OC. In comparision, LSU pays Crowton $500k.

Sad that is what you can get paid for doing a less than stellar job.

Yes I will never be able to understand how Les Miles makes more money than Sean Payton! Something is seriously wrong with this picture

Les earned that $3.8 million by winning a National Championship. It was in his contract. He made between $1 and $2 million when he came to LSU.
When Payton wins a Super Bowl, I am sure he will get a raise, if he was smart enough to negotiate it into his contract. Otherwise he has only been to the playoffs ONCE in his first 3 years. The Saints could easily go 16-0 and lose their first playoff game and gotten no further than they did his first year. Season's not over with yet.

Could be interesting... money is an issue though. He is going to get a HUGE payout from ND. If he decides he likes the college game, we could have a shot.
... of course, CLM has not given any indication that Crowton is gone to my knowledge.

Not sure how much you're joking here. But, I don't think that's anywhere near the top 10 of Nick's driving motivating forces.

Yep, Weiss is gone back to Sunday football. But any school that snagged him for an OC position would be making a smart move. I just don't see it happening

If someone ponied up the right amount of money/control over a program, Saban would leave in a second. Book it. That is Saban's MO. He has no loyalty except to the almighty dollar.

Well, he sort of doesn't need the money after an additional 18 million buyout!
