Understand the criticism of Miles. It is well justified, but a lot of you are tainting his NC and trying to make it less than what it was. How f'ing stupid of a fan of LSU are you to try and lessen a National Championship. Pathetic.

randy shannon's done a pretty decent job rebuilding what coker was driving into the ground with pitiful recruiting ..

Not sure what you're trying to say there, but our 2003 championship is more tainted than 2007 if you're going to go down that route.
You name me one team that deserved to be #2 over us. I don't care if we had 3 losses to get it. If everybody else has three losses and we had the best resume' and win, we are the national champions - un-freaking-disputed.
The only people that complain about that championship are Miles-bashers and UGA fans.

The 2007 championship is just easy pickings because it was unusual in the BCS era in that a two loss team won the championship. Plus being upset with Miles makes it easy to ignore the fact that the 2003 championship was unusual too. . .in that the AP thought so little of the BCS champion that they selected another. The question I always ask to those who jump on the "2007 tainted" bandwagon is: "Would the AP have voted the way it did if Oklahoma won that game?"

how was our 2003 national championship tainted exactly ? we went 13-1 ... saban built the program from almost the ground up to win that title and then handed the keys to that car over to miles for the 2007 championship .. that is a dumb fricking statement loaded with saban haterade ..

Built from the ground up ? Come on. Hell,yea,DiNardo needed to go but that 1998 team was ranked as high as #6 14 months before Saban was hired. Saban did a good job with what he inherited,but he had some pretty damn good players in that first Spring in 2000. LSU wasn't going from DII to DI with boys from the Special Olympics.

2007 may garnered a NC, but it was also a season where LSU lost to two unranked teams (1 of them at home) beat a mediocre Tennessee team for the SEC title and got to play an overrated OSU on their home turf. These are all facts, not opinions.

from a moral standpoint .. the program was downtrodden and headed nowhere .. let's face it .. step back and compare the program saban inherited to the one miles took over ... there is NO comparison ..

Again, I don't disagree. But Saban didn't take over LSD anymore than the 2007 Title is Saban's.

yeah, REALLY, shannon has done a decent job with what he inherited .. he basically had to tear the thing down and rebuild it ... and no, you can't compare the UM fan base to the LSU base .. first of all, UM is a small school in extreme southern miami where as LSU is THE flagship for the entire state ... miami has a very apathetic fan base ... UM competes with far more entities for the discretionary dollar than LSU does here .. there is just no comparison in that respect ..

I cannot believe some are not even satisfied with a national championship...WTF?
If we go undefeated and win the national championship every year for 10 years some will still have to find something to bitch about.
