Thanks for your contribution. Tell me how it's stupid to say that as Miles' top assistant coach (at LSU and Okla. State) that LSU would hire him as its head coach. Not now, but in the next 4-5 years.

He's got 3 strikes against him right now: He's too close to Miles for our fan-base, he needs to be an OC for a few years (though even as a head coach at a school like Memphis would make up for that), and he's black.

Also, you are aware that Porter has served as Assistant Head Coach for the past 4 years at LSU, right? And Chief Recruiter, as well?

He's a great recruiter, but he leaves something to be desired as a position coach.

It's the bolded part (which you were obviously implying) which I believe is utterly stupid.

LSU would hire a black coach in a second if they thought he was the right hire.

I don't think Porter is qualified as a coordinator much less a head coach, but it isn't because he's black.
