I'll always appreciate what he did for LSU, which was get the program off the ground, breathing and running again.

Howard (an experienced QB goes along way in your first year),

He was a basketcase and a trainwreck before Dinardo took over, though.

I would take Dinardo over Miles personally. He went 10-2 in 96 and 9-3 in 97 with far less talent than Miles is/was working with in 08/09.

plus, when LSU needed 3 wins to get to a bowl game (including beating the SECW champions), he developed and played a true freshman qb who eventually led them to an impressive bowl victory. another thing Miles cannot do....develop players

I actually think Dinardo knew his X's and O's better than Miles. He just didnt have anywhere near the talent Miles has.

If Dinardo had Miles talent, I think DiNardo would be a better coach. He would have ran twice and kicked the game winning FG for sure.

i'll probably take dinardo, he was actually a pretty good coach. he had some good offenses. his loyalty was his downfall. his teams didn't seem to continue making the same mistakes as miles teams does.

Miles. He's at least made fairly decent hires to replace departed assistants. However, Crowton is turning out to be quite the bust.

Only difference tween 'em is Dinardo let his assistants be his downfall; Miles let 'em go.

I've posted 10 times how much talent Saban had on the roster when he got here...but he DID awaken our program with it.

Dinardo's work led to Saban's success. That being said I still take Miles. He has led us through the best years of LSU Football and will have more.

that is pure B.S., DiNardo's self undoing was not getting rid of Lou Tepper, who is a Les Miles kind of coach...

Dinardo while not a great coach set in motion the building of the program up. He had his moments. Les inherited superior talent and it carried him for a while. But Miles is on his way to destroying what Dinardo started and Saban finished, which is an elite football program.
