Chavis gets an A+ in my book.

Not because his defense has been dominant, but because his defense is on the field the whole game.

IF, our Offense was competent, I would bet the D would be a lot better.

Funny how that works.

So, this has everything to do with the offense but absolutely nothing to do with the defensive scheme?

Yep. It's a two way street. We're 101st in time of possession. Both units are to blame. Offense can't sustain drives and defense gives up too many 3rd down conversions.

If our defense wouldn't let the opposing team drive 60 yards downfield before stopping them, then maybe our offense wouldn't have to put together 85 yard drives to score, and they wouldn't be ranked 106th.
Funny how it works both ways.

Our defense has been good this year, not great. In the 3 games we played against teams worth a shite (Florida, Bama, and Ole Miss), our opposition gashed us up the middle. We couldn't stop the Florida dive play, we couldn't stop Ingram, and we couldn't stop McCluster.
