and their passing attack? Can he put pressure on Mallet, or will Mallet be give time to pick us apart?

Not when our offense goes three and out six times......we'll wear down like we usually do on defense thanks to our offensive coordinator and head coach......no second half adjustments....

it depends on the motivational level of the defensive line. the front 4 can get great pressure on Mallett and if you mix up some blitz packages he goes from great to aweful. If the line has mailed it in Arkansas can win.

We don't wear down. I'm tired of hearing that. While this D is improved, it's still not that great. It allows teams to consistently move the ball until they get inside the 30 or so. To their credit they do a good job of preventing TD's. Still they consistently allow teams to flip the field on us.
What's bad is that our Offense makes our D look great. Because our Offense is one of the worst in college football.

It doesn't matter. The players are done with their idiot HC. You ever seen a team that loses total confidence in their coach?
It is never pretty.

have we been saving our blitz packages for the Arkansas games?

Our defense proves this: any team in the country can drive on our defense. They may have a hard time in the red zone getting a Touch Down, but our defense helps make sure our offense has a low, low number of plays to work with.
Razorbacks will jump on us early and our team will wilt.

+1
We have some great players, the scheme soft. Not LSU type of defense.

Agreed. LSU's are way better. NFL draft status will prove you wrong, clown.

Based on recent history, it's hard to imagine Mallet being harassed much this Saturday. I hate to say this, but I feel sort of like I did before the Ole Miss game: our best hope is that Mallet has an off day, or maybe the Hogs self-destruct with penalties and turnovers. Otherwise, I see them putting up around 30 points on the board, and it will be very, very difficult for us to match that. Chavis needs to earn his paycheck this Saturday.

LSU sort of got away from multiple blitz packages against 'Bama and OM. The only reason I can discern for this is that they both have potent RB's who can negate the blitz.
I don't think Arkansas has nearly the same threat on the ground, so here's hoping Chavis & Co. bring the kitchen sink to try & disrupt Mallet. Otherwise, if LSU just relies on the front four to create pressure, it could be a long day.
