I heard a basketball analyst on ESPN the other night say that John Wall is the quickest most explosive player in basketball end to end. Not college basketball, basketball period, any level. He said that Derrick Rose was a close 2nd, but that Wall is on another level.

I haven't seen him play yet, other than highlights on the internet, so for those who have seen him play, do you think this is true. If not, who do think is the quickest most explosive player in basketball?

It's hard to say that an 18 year old is the most explosive player in all of basketball, especially when you have guys out there like Kobe, Wade, and LBJ. I don't think it's quite a stretch to say that he is the most explosive collegiate player in the game today. He's got a lot of potential and barring any major setback, he has the makings of a perennial NBA All-Star.

Define "explosive". Cause the two quickest players end to end in basketball are Tony Parker and Devin Harris. If you're talking athletically, John Wall isn't even close to being the most gifted.

I know Jerry Stackhouse is 48 years old, but this is still impressive for a high school kid.

That's pretty ballsy ron. Hell wesley johnson looks like he's better than wall so far. By the end of the season I can definitely see wall being the best.

I can't give you the analyst's definition for explosion, but T.J. Ford is quicker than Parker and Harris.

When I think explosive basketball players, I think:

LeBron James
Dwyane Wade
Nate Robinson
Russell Westbrook
Rajon Rondo
Derrick Rose
Monta Ellis
Devan Downey
etc.
