From what I hear, there will be changes on the offensive side of the ball at the end of the 2009 season. Contrary to popular belief, GC runs the offense. Coach Miles DOES NOT meddle in the plays. Perhaps he should, but from what I know, it's Crowton calling and putting the game plan together almost exclusively with Miles approval. Why he does not override some of the calls, I don't know the answer. Look at Coach's comments regarding Crowton after the UF game where it seems he kinda threw GC under the bus. Surprisingly !

Contrary to popular belief, Coach Miles is more a Big 12 want to pass 60/40 vs. run. Yes he Coached in Big 10 but he is more pass happy than most think.

GC received raise only this year, not a contract extension. From what I am told, last year of a 3 year deal and hear that >70% chance GC will not return. Said this will play out like the co-DC last year. Hopefully!!

The talk about Borges coming to LSU are incorrect and from what I have heard. No decision has been made at this time according to what I hear. I also heard there was a heated argument after the UF game between Coach and GC, and that a parting of the ways after the season is almost a forgone conclusion. Don't shoot the messenger, take it for what it's worth. Just relaying info I have heard.

This would destroy the logic and "credibility" of half the rantards on here

Honestly, what TigerSage is saying makes a lot of sense. It fits with Crowton's past as well as Miles' past. I hope that all of this is true and that we can move on to someone who can develop and run the offense effectively. Look at what a difference Chavis made in one year and how Malzahn affected Auburn. Huge. I hope for the same for our offense for next year. If so, we have the talent to compete for a National Title.
