I posted 11/16/09 Offensive staff changes and GC was more than 70% chance not be retained. This was before the OM debacle. BP called it "The Prophecy." CM, from what I hear, tried to hire him in 2007 before GC. FWIW!!

David Lee Dophins
Most expected a 10-2 or 9-3 season. That's may be where we end up and if a bowl, win 10-3. CM is not going to be fired or on anyone but the idiot fans' hot seat.

He will make the necessary changes to his staff as he did at end of last season, and hear it from the SAGE, win the west in 2010 and challenge for NC.

Yes, he made mistakes Saturday. They will be corrected at the conclusion of the season and expect a miracle 2010 season.

Told you guys that CM allows the assistant coaches to coach. Crowton runs the O! Yes, CM should have overruled some of the play calls this year, last year against Bama, 2007 UK when the running back disappears after halftime, and ARK game no blitz on fourth down. CM lets them make the calls.

That's his mistake for not overruling GC throwing the ball umpteen times against Bama last year when we having our way running the ball, and being in FG position against OM and allow GC to call for pass plays.

Now geaux out and cheer for the P & G Saturday against the hogs!

Have a great day!!!
Nope. Don't shoot the messenger dude!! Just telling you what I hear from folks who know a lot more than you.

3 year contract for GC. No extension was given, only a raise. Last year of his contract. Again, just telling what's told to me.

Was told that the Al Borges stuff to Tigers has no legs.
From what I hear, there will be changes on the offensive side of the ball at the end of the 2009 season. Contrary to popular belief, GC runs the offense. Coach Miles DOES NOT meddle in the plays. Perhaps he should, but from what I know, it's Crowton calling and putting the game plan together almost exclusively with Miles approval. Why he does not override some of the calls, I don't know the answer. Look at Coach's comments regarding Crowton after the UF game where it seems he kinda threw GC under the bus. Surprisingly !

Contrary to popular belief, Coach Miles is more a Big 12 want to pass 60/40 vs. run. Yes he Coached in Big 10 but he is more pass happy than most think.

GC received raise only this year, not a contract extension. From what I am told, last year of a 3 year deal and hear that >70% chance GC will not return. Said this will play out like the co-DC last year. Hopefully!!

The talk about Borges coming to LSU are incorrect and from what I have heard. No decision has been made at this time according to what I hear. I also heard there was a heated argument after the UF game between Coach and GC, and that a parting of the ways after the season is almost a forgone conclusion. Don't shoot the messenger, take it for what it's worth. Just relaying info I have heard.
>70% chance that GC will not return from what I hear. My personal belief is close to 90%. Contrary to what many posters on this board believe, Coach is not a football idiot. You don't go 50-13 regardless of talent, not knowing how to coach.

As I mentioned earlier, Coach and GC had a heated discussion after the UF game. This will play out just like the Co-D coordinators last year. There will be new OC at end of the year, and don't believe the Borges stuff people are posting on here.

That's 100% accurate TigerFan55555. GC received raise and contract up at end of year.

Rich Rod will be coaching the Wolverines in 2010. After that who knows, but he will be back at Michigan for the upcoming season.
Long time reader of this board, and felt a need to shed some light on this situation. (I am a supporter of Coach Miles, but like many question what's going on with the offense).

1. Les Miles is not going to Michigan. Rich Rod will be back coaching the Wolverines in 2010, and Coach Miles would not be going if there was an opening. Folks need to realize in today's economy there isn't the money for the huge buyout associated with Coach's contract. No one in there right mind would replace a coach with his winning percentage at this time, regardless of close games, winning ugly .....

4. The talk about Borges coming to LSU are incorrect and premature. No decision has been made at this time according to what I hear. I hear that it's more than a 70% chance of offensive staff changes including GC. I also heard there was a heated argument after the UF game between Coach and GC, and that a parting of the ways after the season is almost a forgone conclusion. 5. And for the linkologist out there, there is no link! This is from folks associated with CM.
