I liked the call to go for it

Peyton with 2 minutes left to win the game? About an 100 percent chance the Colts win in that scenario. The chances of converting on 4th and 2 are pretty high.

2 minutes was a lot of time, and he shredded those 30 yards in 20 seconds as it was.
Still, retarded fricking call. If you're thinking of going for it on 4th down after 3rd and 2, make sure you get something on 3rd down instead of trying that long out route toss.
And my stance is and will be that they got the first down. Hell, I thought the pass interference on the last drive was a bullshite call as well. Good ol' NsFeLc!
Kidding, but damn it, if they want to keep undefeateds, why do the Saints get the short end of the officiating while the Colts are helped? This is BS!

payton would of had the ball with less than 2 minutes.. and it would have been pass only.. doesn't matter who the qb is.. you have to make them drive the field.. indy's receivers were dropping a ton of passes all night outside of wayne..

the boys are my team but i love watching manning and the belichick patriots. belichick is one of the best nfl coaches ever and he knows what is at stake and he just has that much faith in his team to convert and i was sure they would too. other coaches would have punted, etc. so they don't get it and he knows he's left manning to take stage and finish belichick's worst loss. i love it all the way around.

Peyton Manning liked the call also

no way. The best possible outcome for Bill was make the first and ice the game.
The best possible outcome for Andy was make the field goal and Dallas still wins

Reid -- borderline reasonable if very conservative
Belicheck -- insanely reckless

i dont think it was a very good call, but belicheck rightfully has more faith in his offense and wanted them to decide the game instead of his defense. The worst part about the call is that he basically told his defense that they werent worth shite (and they proved him right).
IMO, Reid's FG was probably worse though. That did little and there was a below average chance his kicker even makes it.

Like 8 years ago, the Lions won the coin toss in overtime and didn't take the ball.
game. set. match.

That could be defended in some cases and in even in the worst case it isn't as bad as this.

That you're a douche? Yes, match over.

That was the most insanely idiotic call I've ever witnessed......
I can understand that Peyton is a great quarterback, but the fact remains he would have had 2 minutes and only 1 timeout, and more than likely they would have started the drive somewhere between the 20 and 30........not exactly a gimme situation.
Put the onus on him and make him make the plays, by going for it there you essentially gave them the game.

No it really can't. You have to take the ball. It is worse IMO, but it's really not the same. It's not really an in-game decision like this one was.
I liked the call to go for it. If they make it, people would still talk about it, but it wouldn't be that big of a deal.

Wait, you really think the Lions' decision to NOT take the ball in sudden death overtime was more reasonable than the Patriots decision to go for it on 4th and 2?
And you are calling other people idiots? Christ
