i would like it if he could get more touches. but then i don't study the opposing teams like the coaches do.
this isn't xbox.
No shite?
Have you noticed the running game has been pretty awful this year? I don't understand why giving Shepard more touches is such a problem. He has the ability to outrun everyone and take it to the house on any given play. He is what the running game needs - a home run threat.
What I am saying is that defenses know Shepard is a home run threat and with him on the field, he will need to be accounted for at all times which would open things up for Tolliver/Lafell or even Williams. The problem is that Miles doesn't want to give a true freshman that much responsibility in the offense.

probably because they keep dickson in a lot to block because the o-line is shitty

He has been, I'm laughing at your comment about our o line

Not all freshman are ready to play early. Ever notice how confused Shep looks getting lined up, and JJ doesn't seem to help him get where he needs to be. We wasted a lot od timeouts this season for this reason.

why? are they not shitty? they haven't been very good in run blocking or even acceptable in pass protection

Both young, talented players learning and getting better with every snap. Can't just throw thim to the dogs.

We will be NOT getting as much top 5 star talent because they don't get to play as freshman at LSU like they do at other schools. It is one thing to NOT let them play if they do not do good in practice or beat out say a junior or senior. But sometimes they do real good if you let them play enough so they get into a rhythm and shine.
signed, Chad Jones, Patrick Peterson, Reuben Randle...
