I was thinking about this today. I know that we all like to win and there are no moral victories.

But, when I see all of this crap that is going on at Tennessee today and all of the antics Kiffin has pulled by running his mouth over the months since he has been at Tennessee I have to consider coach Miles and LSU.

In my opinion Coach Miles handled the Ryan Perrilloux thing perfectly. He gave the kid more than his fair share of chances and RP blew it so he eliminated the problem.

He handled the comments with respect to the officials with complete class and represented LSU just like he always does and brought no embarrassment upon the University, his team, or himself. You know that he knew that call was bullshite but he held his tongue.

I watched the entire LSU/BAMA game and y'alls team is complete class. Players helping other team up after a good tackle, no thugish bullshite, and one other thing that I noticed. I was in the stadium and after the teams warmed up before the game the LSU team huddled up mid-field to get fired up for the kickoff and they huddled up 10 yds. off the Alabama logo.

Say what you want about Miles but he is a class act, a great coach, and his team is as good as the other two top teams in the SEC they just need a little maturity in a couple of spots.

He takes a rash of shite so I think it's only fare to point out the goods things to.

Just my opinion...Roll Tide!!

see scoop. Most people around here don't care about that. They just want to win at all cost (even though he is winning, imagine that). But to see the way he handles himself, the way he handles coaching changes etc. He will alwasys get players with character.

He may not be the toughest. But he has certainly earned my respect.

And inspite what some idiots on here think, he is one of the TOP coaches in teh country.

I think Miles does a good job getting players ready for life...not always just football but what real life is about. Most players on the team won't see an NFL contract, but a real life job, where they have to act...well..like men, not thugs. Good for him.

Some of us are delusional idiots to but I am ust pointing out the obvious. Y'alls team plays tough football and they do it with complete class and that says something about the head coach. Miles is old school class act in my opinion.

He reiminds me of coach Bryant and everytime I say that on here I catch shite for it but he has always reminded me of coach Bryant. One of the things that made coach Bryant so successful was that everybody liked him and I think you can't help but like Coach Miles.

you are correct!

Great recruiting, and all class.

LSU will rise to the top with more experience at QB and another year with Chavis as D coordinator.

Les really is a class act. Look at what a bunch of thugs the Gators have become in recent years.

FWIW, I like Saban but he certainly has an anger management issue.

One other thing about Miles: He will get hot and bothered every once in a while, but you will never see him pull the kind of childish junk that the coach across the field from him pulled when Julio Jones was running off the field after the 12 men breaking the huddle penalty. He won't throw his headset and have a tantrum on the field. After the game I was happy with our team and our coaches. I turned to my wife and said, "I like our coach better than theirs."

I agree 100%. I add that Les Miles has also gone from one controversy/negative event to another.

He came here on the heels of Saban, so he's endured all of that bullshite.

His start began with hurricanes, changed games, venues, etc...

He had nearly an entire season of crap with all the "going to Michigan" rumors.

A list of injuries to starters and you can make a separate list of quarterback issues from injuries to the RP controversy, which was never ending.

I'm sure he held his breath before the 2007 SECCG knowing RP had to play. He was probably praying the guy didn't do something stupid before that game which would have caused a suspension. I know I was holding my breath.

Yes, there have been coaching issues, but what's listed above were things outside of his control for the most part. Yes, he gets paid a lot to deal with this crap, but the job is the job. I don't know how in the hell he keeps his cool.

When's the last year we didn't have a quarterback issue or injury?

And, loyalty issues. I don't think he's ever really 100% into where he is. He's always looking for the "greener" ___________. Fill in the blank.

I noticed the LSU players helping Ingram and others up after a play, its one thing to do that after the heat of battle and you're on the short end but our team was doing it the whole game.

Play whistle to whistle and respect your opponent.
