I can even understand your surprise for Dicaprio, whom cried all movie that he was gonna get whacked..or Travolta as hitman, despite dodging bullets in the opening scenes..
But, how you didn't see that numbnuts Brolin character hiding in seedy west Texas motels, all the while talking to and mocking a world-class merc/killer in Chigurh, at every turn possible..being chased 'til the end of the world, if need be.

It was mainly the way and the timing of Brolin's death in No Country that I didn't see coming.
