Why is this clown so popular??

Goofy & a tough sumbitch that can take a punch. Not to mention that it was his epic fight with Bonnar during the TUF 1 Finale that really springboarded UFC to the power that it is today.

Well, I can't stand him... with those big-arse ears and that stupid-arse smirk... plus he cries like a little bitch when he loses. WTF was that crap after he lost to Silva, running out of the ring?

A hard-partying (once upon a time), blue collar white kid that made it to the UFC by having his forearm broken in half in a fight that he eventually won becomes popular in a sport kept alive by young white males 20-35 years of age. It's not exactly like solving a differential equation.

Yeah, but the dude is such an annoying little bitch.
If you feel comfortable calling that dude a bitch, then good for you, but that's one tough son of a bitch.

Dude has a motor/chin.... with that being said, I don't really care for him.

Silva owned him. Dropped him with an off-balance shot. THen Griffen ran out the octagon...

Didn't he get hurt during the fight, though?

Is he the guy that quit like a little pussy a few seconds into a match a month or two ago? A few friends of mine said it was the most disappointed they'd been as a fan of fighting ever. I think it was that guy.

I think it was him. I guess quit wasn't the right word, but he pretty much got his arse handed to him.

everyone who gets in the cage with silva gets their arse handed to them

Silva COMPLETELY outclassed him...Silva was basically like a cat playing with a lizard pulling it apart a piece at a time

As fans you have the rght to criticize fighters like you do anyone in professional sports but it always makes ne cringe when you say stuff like "so and so got his arse whooped like a bitch."
just knowing that these guys work 4-5 hours a day on destroying human flesh with their bare hands, and knowing that they willingly get in there and compete it's just tough to read.
It's not just a "fight." the pressure they are under is nearly unbearable, and there is the very real possibility of serous injury.

The fact that he got in there with Silva, or Rampage, or Shogun shows that he's no bitch.
I must have missed him getting called a bitch, though.
Having boxed a little, and fought in the street a couple times, I can tell anyone who wants to know, it's not the same. Nothing about it is the same. It didn't take me long to realize that I didn't mentally have what it took to do it for a living. It's one of those things that everyone thinks they understand and thinks they probably could have done if not for "insert excuse"

He is a very likeable person, who can take and punch, and fights with more heart than most UFC fighters. Not everyone is a dominant force in the ring like Silva. You're probably a fan of Diego.

I like the guy. That Bonner fight was incredible. One of the most amazing displays of human will that didn't result in death.
Pay per view is UFCs bread and butter, and hype man is not a role Griffin is comfortable in.
I can't really blame the guy for being upset after the fight with Silva. Spend all that time in the gym, and get caught in a matter of seconds, fights over. He probably felt embarassed, because he takes pride in performing well for the crowd.
