Would love to see ALABAMA vs. other SEC team penalty ratio's

Alabama had 11 penalties against South Carolina is a close game. Far more than the Gamecocks.

Historically, it is not even close. Someone posted something once that no matter who the coach is, how good the team is, etc, Bama is penalized less than any other team in the conference. I will see if I can dig it up.

me too, because before the UT game, we were probably one of the most penalized in the SEC. at least it felt that way.

So, according to those stats, the SEC front office wants to see Tennessee and Kentucky in the SEC championship game since they have the least amount of penalties.

what happened to all those stats a few yrs ago when LSu won a NC and said that the most penalized teasm usually wins the NC. I figured we were just helping yall out

These stats are meaningless. Of course the Birmingham boys wouldn't make it so blatant that Bama would be best in the conference not getting penalized.

The stat to see would be how often is Bama penalized versus other teams in games that are 7 points or less or what is the tendency of flags late in the game or in clutch game situations.
