Elite program?

How can bama fans say they are an "elite" program? They havnt won a national title since 1992. They havnt won an sec championship since 1999 i believe and never a heisman trophy winner. Until then i really dont want to hear about what a powerhouse they are.

Bama has been down for about a decade, but it's back to being an elite program now. We don't have to deny it. We just need to beat the shite out of them.

LSU is still elite, last year was just horrible coaching, but with the talent LSU brings in on a consistent basis now, they will always be among the elite. Saban has Bama playin at an elite levl now, I just don't understand people sayin that if LSU beats them it is an upset, you have 2 evenly matched programs talent wise, edge goes to Bama coaching wise, but if LSU wins this would be no upset to me.

There really isnt any reason to downplay Bama's return to prominence. As long as LSU can beat them.

I believe they beat Colorado in the independence bowl in 2007, after going 6-6 in the regualr season, to finish at 7-6.
So to answer your question more directly, 2 years.

Same thing I consider Fla. after their 4 loss or so year in 2007. We're presently elite. Bama is trying to get there. After the way they've finished the last two years...they still have some things to prove. No championships and mulitple losses to finish a season....not elite.
