Players in the NBA who are ready to step up

Every year, there are a few guys who are ready to step up to the next level. In the past few years, we saw guys like Monta Ellis, Kevin Martin, and Danny Granger become legitimate stars. Then there are some guys who step up from being role players to legit starters like Hedo Turkoglu a few years ago.
Who are the guys who can make the jump this year? Here are some of my picks.
Future Stars: Trevor Ariza, Andrea Bargnani, Aaron Brooks, Marc Gasol, Jeff Green, Chris Kaman, Mareese Speights, Rodney Stuckey, and Louis Williams.
Players Stepping Up As Legit Starters: Ryan Anderson, Andray Blatche, Danilo Gallinari, Ersan Ilyasova, JJ Redick, and Chris Doulgas-Roberts.

What's the deal with McCants? Is he going to play in Europe or something?

Brandon Jennings for the Bucks

That guy is on pace for one of the greatest rookie seasons ever.
But I wasn't really referring to guys like Durant, Rose, or Jennings, but rather guys who didn't contribute big time as rookies but have gradually improved over the past couple of seasons and are now ready to become stars. The second category is for guys who are ready to become starters after warming the bench for the first few years (either because of injuries, bad fit with their first team, just not being ready, etc).

I wouldn't go that far just yet. But it is a VERY nice start for the guy. Hope he keeps it up.

you use the word "star" pretty lightly

Is Kevin Martin a star? How about Danny Granger?
These are guys that have the potential to be the next Martin or Granger.

It's a list of 9 players. Some of them have shown steady improvement over the past season or two (Williams and Brooks), others are in a position where they can be a go to player after sitting on the bench on their previous team or at least being a role player (Ariza and Stuckey).
All have done more than have a great 4-5 games, but they wouldn't be considered great players yet. I am just trying to see who else people think can make the leap. I think the 9 players I mentioned are all legitimate choices.

they do have potential, to get better..
not to be stars...that just IMO.
Green is the best shot.
maybe a few. Ariza potentially. Bargnianni, scoring wise. But thats all he does. He's basically Memhet Okur.
i like Speights...does he have star power? Maybe. He just never seems to get a chance.
Brooks....no
Gasol, hell no
Lou Williams...no, dude will score and shoot a horrible % doing it. Thats not a star in my eyes.
Stuckey, maybe. I think he is limited though.
i think CDR and Blatche are too guys with much more upside than some of these guys

Rajon Rondo if you don't already consider him as a star....maybe Terrence Williams of the Nets
