Billy Kopp raised to 600,000 in early position and was called by Darvin Moon in the small blind. The flop came out KDiamond Suit 9Diamond Suit 2Diamond Suit, and Moon checked. Kopp fired out 750,000, and Moon made the call. The turn was the 2Heart Suit, and Moon checked once again. Kopp bet 2 million, and Moon check-raised to 6 million. Kopp then moved all in for about 20 million, and Moon wasted no time before calling. Kopp showed down 5Diamond Suit 3Diamond Suit for a flopped flush, but Moon showed QDiamond Suit JDiamond Suit for a higher flopped flush. Kopp was drawing dead, and the inconsequential river card was the 7Club Suit, sending him out of the tournament in 12th place. After the hand, Moon took back the chip lead with 45 million in chips.

meant shove when I said call, natch.

A shock fell among the Amazon Room after the elimination of Billy Kopp was mentioned. For most of the day, Kopp was our chip leader, but he got involved in hand with Darvin Moon where both players flopped flushes. After a flop of Kd-9d-2d, Kopp led out for $750,000 and Moon called. The turn was another 2. Kopp bet $2 million. Moon raised to $6 million, Kopp moved in for $20 million and Moon called! Moon showed Qd-Jd to beat Kopp's 3d-5d. Absolutely unbelievable.

shite, just watched this. DVR'd it and watched it after work

*****SPOILERS*******

frick what a horrible play

Moon might have too many chips for Ivey to do anything. Feels like Jamie Gold and Cunningham a few years back when Cunningham was way better just doesn't have enough chips

Thanks. I DVR'd it, and will watch it later, but was wondering how Moon's chip stack got so massive. I still think if anyone in the world can take down a stack like that, it's Ivey. He's going to need some luck, though. Moon's likely to call a shove with anything.

Gold was loose and aggressive and got bat shite lucky.

Moon is, for the most part, only playing good to premium hands and is playing them well.

One double up and Ivey is really in the thick of things.

Peter Eastgate went to the final table in the bottom half of the chip lead.

That's the thing, can Moon possibly keep getting AA, KK, etc every fricking hand.

Also hitting the set of 8s was pretty sick

Saw Ivey last night at the Venetian with 30k spread across the field at the craps table and 25k on the pass.

Also been playing with a bunch of Akenheads boys out here at the Deepstacks. He flew out a bunch of his friends from England and is putting them in all week

Im really surprised that Kopp would lose all of his money after the board paired with the 2. If he didnt think Moon had a better flush...he had to at least consider he had a full house after the turn. But he says that Moon should have considered that he had a full house. Strange.

It all came down to kopp being an idiot. He hadn't had to deal with someone having better hands than him heads up so it was improbable to him. I expect someone making such a dumb move to say something like that. When you have such a huge stack with one player to get knocked out he shouldn't have even played those cards. He should have just checked but his ego wouldn't let him do it and he paid the price. Deservedly so.......imo
