They lowered the price on the lunch buffet, but now its limited to only pizza and salad. (and I was craving spaghetti and meatballs)
I requested a certain pizza and they just put the toppings I asked for on a pizza that tasted like it had been cooked 2 hours prior. The other pizzas were good, but that business is a mess.
The food does have some potential, but they will fail if things don't start to change.

I love their pizza, and will continue to hit that buffet.

They are one of the few in town with real pizza ovens besides Whole Foods. What a shame. When they are on, they are really on.

It's a shame that such a great pizza joint is being run into the ground by TERRIBLE management.

This was today as in Tuesday?
I think on Monday's they do a pizza only buffet. Last few times I've went they had everything except salads.

then that is crummy. His meatballs are money.

In order to get a fresh pie over there, you gotta order off the menu. His buffet is a mess.

Ruffino's has a good wood burning oven and you can sit in the front, get a pizza couple of glasses of wine or a beer and not spend an arm and a leg. Plus they encourage the kids to sit up there and make their own.
Did Johnny D bitch slap someone while you were there?

I think ruffino's is an under-appreciated treasure in BR .. no one on here really talks about it, but it might be THE most consistent place in BR ... wine and pizza in front the wood burning oven on a cold night is a treat ...
as far as Johnny d's .. i just thinks he's in way over his head since he moved and his business tripled ... he just doesn't get it ...

We do this almost weekly and let the kids sit at the bar and make their own. Plus you get to see all the action by the front door while really being kind of out of the way. Plus Ruffin is always good for a glass of wine.

Ruffin's a really good guy .. really takes care of his customers and knows how to show his appreciation for your business -- an art form lost on about 90% of the owners and GMs in this city ... i easily eat there 3 times a month myself ...

Agree and don't forget about their other specials ... Fish Katie, Veal Michael and ribeye.

not a half bad O lineman either in his time ...

Had my rehearsal dinner there last July. Couldn't be happier with the food and service. Ruffin came and talked to my parents and I afterwards and was a really nice guy. Arguably my favorite place in BR.

No doubt about that...When folks from other cities ask where they should eat at, most often the response is Chimes, when in fact the answer should be Ruffino's...I even had the pleasure of being introduced to Eddie & Candy at Ruffino's a few years ago.

yeah .. really, when you get down to it, you can find chimes food anywhere ... it really is nothing special .. they do a good job with "nothing special" .. but there is nothing unique about the chimes outside of BR's uncanny addiction to it ... but as far as ruffino's goes .. the place is unique and never lets you down ...
and bilj .. yes, ruff dog can down with it ..
