Iowa is undefeated in a BCS conference.

If Iowa finishes undefeated, then it probably should play for the national championship. Same thing with Cincy.

Iowa can send a big message in their conference championship game...oh wait, that's right they are like the Pac-10 and don't care for that extra challenge.

They were favored the first time too and were also favored when Iowa beat them last year when they were #3. So was Michigan St. and Wisconsin this year. I'm sure OSU will be favored when Iowa plays them in 2 weeks too.

Awesome. So you're admitting your team just wins because it gets lucky?

Your luck will run out, let's hope it's against Ohio State, so you won't get embarrassed against a real team.

Yeah, yeah, yeah a win is a blah blah and play all blah blah, but a close "win" over an arky st or an almost/should loss with Indiana is not going to get it done for a top ten team. I guess I can't get over you almost losing to arky st., to me that is unacceptable. Just like Bama losing to ULM.

So WINNING against Arky St. is just like LOSING to ULM?

I agree, but still not the same as losing.

I would love to see Iowa go undefeated and make it to the BCS Championship game. You thought SLOWHIO ST. embarrassed the Big 10 the past few NC games?? Imagine what would happen to Iowa against the SEC Champ or the Big 12 Champ for that matter?? Those guys better quiet down and hope to only get beat by 27 in the Rose Bowl by Oregon.

Indiana should have beat them, Arky st. ( I think) almost beat them, and I thought yall had trouble with another terrible team. Only "big" win is against an ok Penn St team.

Almost-losses are still wins. And PennState is better than any team LSU has beaten this year. I'm not an Iowa fan, but I have to be honest. When LSU almost lost to MissState, almost lost to UGA, and looked bad against Vandy, Wash, and ULL, we LSU fans decided that winning ugly is just the MO of this LSU team. Maybe Iowa and its fans are not that different?

I listen to the show quite often and enjoy it. Colin is much better than Rome, which is my other option here in Houston. But USC at No. 6?? Really?? This is obviously an attempt to stir the pot. All we heard all week from ESPN is how USC just doesn't get blown out. Well guess what?? They did, and by a team that got their arses handed to them on the Blue field. Ludicrous. Colin has said all week that he doesn't get paid to be right. Just interesting. Based on the number of responses from this board, it is working.

6. USC (6-2) - Shut up, they’ll beat your favorite team in a bowl game any day of the week. Wait until they play Alabama in a bowl game and show them what a real offense looks like.
Thats a shame
And cincy is a joke.
That said I like Cowherd, he's pretty good...most of the time.

Just replying to a post earlier that said winning a close game against Arky St. is the same as losing to ULM. I agreed that both are not good, but they are not even close to being the same.

The post was taking a shot at Bama, but at the same time trying to say that Iowa's close win against Arky St. should be treated like a loss to ULM.

Are you arguing the Indiana is a smidge worse than MSU, UGA or AU. I will give you that one. This has nothing to do with that though.

No, I am arguing that the Big Ten is not as good of a conference from top to bottom as the SEC. Do you watch these Big Ten teams play? The speed of the game in that conference does not compare to the SEC. As much as LSU's offense has struggled, LSU would score 70 points on Indiana as slow as their secondary is. Indiana could not come close to covering Lafell, Toliver and Randle.

I can't even see the speed because they are so fast. I'm sure this is the same speed that we saw from LSU at the Cap One bowl and Florida the two times we played them in the Outback Bowl.

The only reason you beat LSU is because Saban was too busy negotiating a deal with the Dolphins and did not properly prepare LSU for the bowl game as evidenced by the defensive call and blown coverage to allow an Iowa hail mary to win the game. LSU played one decent quarter and Iowa played an almost flawless game yet still needed a miracle play to win.

Don't let the outcome of that game fool you into believing that Iowa has the athleticism to match up against the best of the SEC in a game that truly matters to the SEC opponent.
