So I get off work at 7:30 (in Atlanta); it was dark so I knew I would be able to get WWL on 870 AM. I was fired up at being able to listen to Saints and LSU commentary on my way home. The first caller asked what Hokies' opinion of how LSU matches up with Alabama, could LSU beat them. Hokie said LSU has zero chance in this game and the final score will be in the neighborhood of 31-10. I felt like someone whose dog got run over

Don't worry. Hokie has NEVER been the sharpest knife in the drawer. If you hang your hat on Hokie's opinions, life is pathetic.

He may find his wisdom in the bottom of a beer can but he is probably correct in his assumption that Bama is going to win the game. Our defense has improved and I think they will keep us as close as we were in the UF game but IMHO our offense has not shown me they can put up the big numbers against a QUALITY opponent.

It's a good sign. Dude was absolutely fellating Eli and the Giants before that game. He was making out Eli to be one of the top 5 QB's in the game and just gushing.

Having once had Eli on my Fantasy Team all I could do was laugh.

Hokie's one of my all time favorite Tigers but prognosticating is not his strength. Proabably why he's broadcasting and no longer a scout for the Saints.

So what did he predict the Bama-Tn and LSU-AU scores to be?

Hokie Gajan played at the end of the Charlie Mac, beginning of the Jerry Stovall years. I think that group tends a little to the pessimistic side. I don't think they beat Bama the whole 4 years he was there. It probably colors his view of things a bit.
