This guy is just pissed that ESPN has come in and swooped up the SEC every weekend. CBS couldn't get the deal done, this guy is a hater. Probably has no friends fig

CBS has first choice on SEC games each weekend, so I'm not sure what you are trying to say.

There seems to be this huge misconception that the SEC is very down this year, but I don't get it. The SEC is 28-5 in OOC games and 7-3 against BCS schools. 3 of those 5 losses have been to highly ranked teams. What exactly is the SEC supposed to do?

I'll admit that the Pac10 is VERY up and comparable with the SEC this year. But them being up, doesn't make the SEC down.

By that douchebag's logic, USC should not be in the top 25, because it lost to Washington, which was beaten, at home, by a suck-arse LSU team.

Anyone here wanna believe he will admit to that?

His argument would have some teeth if the SEC didn't dominate the BCS Championship game itself. When SEC teams are allowed in to the big game they win (and they usually win big).

After all of his whining, will he recant after Texas or USC is crushed by Florida, Bama, or LSU in the big game? Of course not.

this guy can go suck a green slimy donkey cock.
he needs to look at what conference WON the last 3 national championships. it wasnt the forns from texas conferance or the shity pac 10 it was the MIGHTY SEC .
he needs to realize that the SEC is the top conferance in all the LAND.
we may be on a down year but it happens unlike other conferances that are down year in and year out.
he must be a frickeye fan
he can kiss my fat stinking

I know Lou Holtz says some stupid things but the one thing that he does say that is so true is this.

"It's a different team every week"

So these ridiculous comparisons of who beat who and by how much and how little are stupid. The fact that Cincinnati beat Oregon State by 28 and USC beat them by 6 is irrelevant. That is a HUGE game for both of those teams. It's a redemption game for USC and Oregon State has had their number the past few years and that's their biggest game of the year. Emotions are way different for USC then what they are for Cincinnati. Absolutely stupid article

That's alright, when a SEC team goes to Pasadena and rolls someone in the title game we'll see what he writes then - that Texas was overrated, that USC is the best team but can't seem to win all its PAC 10 games just once to avoid these controversies. USC should've beaten Washington with its backup QB!

And their awesome defense!? This whole poll thing is goofy. LSU beats Wash. and USC loses and they are ranked ahead of LSU? duh...

Check those heavy duty schedules out for Boise State, Cincinot, TCryinU. Really, the dude is just trying to get readership.

Heck, all of college football is down this year. But some of those I named through the SEC and see how they survive.

Got no problem with USC. Just don't give me those other lame schools who play, basically, one or two real football teams a year and want to lay claim to glory.

I think people have the opinion that the SEC isn't as strong this year because Ole Miss and UGA have been a disappointment, So instead of having 5 SEC teams in the top 15 or so we have UF #1, Bama #2, LSU #9, Ole miss #22 and UGA unranked....and UF and Bama have not been dominating in SEC games - But they have blown away non-conference opponents. In my opinion, the lack of domination over other SEC opponents is testament to the fact that the SEC is very strong from top to bottom instead of having 6 or 7 strong (top 25)teams.

LSUmatt is correct. Our three BCS losses OOC?

UGA to OSU at OSU (higher ranked)
Tennessee to UCLA (UCLA should be better than a team with all new coaches in their 2nd game).
MSU lost to GaTech (higher ranked), but played them hard.

The two other losses?
MSU lost to Houston (higher ranked who beat OSU for goodness sake)
Vandy lost to Army (the one really bad loss)

The fact is the SEC may be a bit down, but they aren't that down. Couldn't it possibly be that our other teams are up?

MSU is much better than last year with an actual offense.

Kentucky is solid.

Auburn has some semblance or an offense, and enough of one to give WVU their only loss.

Tennessee is improving.

South Carolina is much better than most gave them credit for and too much being put on their NCState game.

Vandy is the only one down, and that's just becasue their vandy.

Arkansas destroyed all their OOC, including A&M, and is young and getting better.

Ole Miss was overrated, but that doesn't mean they are horrible.

UGA is struggling, but every team has a bad year, and despite that, they were close in the OSU game outside of some horrific officiating.

So, someone please tell me how USC beating an overrated tOSU, ND, and only scoring 27 on pitiful (and i mean PITIFUL) Wazzu makes them legit? Corp is taking all the blame for the UW loss. How about their fumbles, especially McKnight's? Oh yeah, forgot about those.

The Pac-10 is solid this year, but they've also really not played that many great OOC teams. Let's see how things work out when bowl time comes around.

Funny that he is dogging the SEC with barely beating opponents then pimps Texas because they are blowing out teams.........

Who is Texas blowing out?

Wyoming? -- A team that barely slipped by Webber state and Florida Atlantic? A team that lost to Air Force? A team whose signature win is agaisnt UNLV by 3 points?

ULM?

Texas Tech? -- 3 loss team.

UTEP?

Colorado? -- A 5 loss team.

Missouri? -- 3 loss team who's margin of defeat against ranked opponents this year is 36-101.

Oklahoma -- A 3 loss team. The only top 25 team Texas has played so far this year and the longhorns only beat them by 3.

It;s a hit job on the entire SEC. He just one of many. I mean if they other conference didn't show us how weak they were in the BCSNGC then it owuld be a moot point.

HOwever, what really hurts the SEC credibility is when Utah bitch slap Alabama around. Should not have happened.
