I'm not a huge fan of the in-house beer, but I really like the deep dish pizza and the wife likes the sandwiches. I tend to think of it as a much better and nicer Chili's.

The pizza is awesome...sits pretty heavy, though. Make sure you save room for a "Pizzookie."

I went the other night. I like it. I got the 4 beer sampler and it was ok. Got the deep dish pepperoni and garlic = really good.

Wife got meditteranean chicken (i think) and it was damn good.

It's overpriced chain food. Imagine Applebee's but more expensive.

The suckiest bunch of suck that ever sucked.

Unless you like flavorless chain food with no ounce of creativity, then that place is for you.

For example, if you leave BJ's saying that the "Pizzookie" (a cookie in a mini pizza dish with ice cream on top) was "awesome", then you and BJ's deserve each other.

Enjoy the crap.

It's bar fare.. Don't expect anything more and you won't be disappointed. They have sandwiches, pizzas etc. They have a good chicken club and fries. I don't find it any more expensive than any place with similar food. If you like beer, there's plenty of it. I'm a regular.

Just because it is a chain doesn't mean that the food can't be good. Face it, we can't all dine at Peter Lugers, Masa, L'Espalier, Charlie Trotter's, Stella!, etc all the time. I was curious because I hear they brew their own beer (which is pretty cool) and they had fairly good pizza.

The beer is average. They brew their own rootbeer, which is pretty fantastic. The food is a notch above a Chili's or some other corporate chain. Their signature desert, the Pizookie, is the best thing on the menu. The service and prices are pretty typical. Not a bad place.

The service is pretty crummy, I will say that. But listen to oilattorney he is obviously super rich and dines at 5 stars for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

I like the Jeremiah Red beer. We have never had a bad meal there, food is consistent. The Mediterranean pizza is great as well as the Chardonnay Shrimp Pasta.

This is all keeping in mind that it's a chain, and setting expectations accordingly:

Service is turrable. Try to sit at the bar. Pretty good atmosphere. Food's mostly what you'd expect, maybe a little better than most chains, but it is what it is. They have a huge menu, but the only thing that I ever go for is the pizza, which I think is pretty good...especially for a chain. Beer is ok, nothing to write home about, but it breaks up the monotony of BL, ML, etc. As far as price, I think it's just on the side of getting expensive...maybe a dollar or two more than most chains will charge for entrees/apps/etc. Worth a try, keep your expectations where they should be. Probably won't be your favorite, but won't be your least either.

Only reason I go there is because I like to eat late (9ish) and BJ's stay open until 1am or so. I wish more places in BR would stay open a little later for dinner.
