The fact of the QB matter is...

Les got himself into a tough situation. Rather than letting Lee develop they yanked him. Then replaced him with an even more undeveloped QB.
Now they are stuck. Can't go back. Won't make the same mistake of going to another young undeveloped QB.
Fact is JJ is the guy. Barring injury he will remain the guy.
His most egregious fault is that he gets sacked too often. He'll learn that with experience.
Now if we could please move on to something more constructive

do you think this is the first time anybody has said this or something?

So Les set Lee up to get hurt against Ole Miss last year? That's the only reason he came out of the game.

it's worse than that. Miles made the decision that since he had a running game, he would bring JJ along very slowly.
Well, he hasn't let the kid throw down the field for 6 games. Now that we've finally figured out we don't have much of a running game, we've got to get some kind of offense going.
JJ's development has been so retarded, do you realize we could start next year in the same situation as the last two- without a decent (seasoned, experienced, effective) qb?
we hope JJ improves; a lot of us believe it wouldn't hurt to see if JL is not entirely ruined, just in case.

Lee's injury has nothing to do with who is starting this year.

of course it does
short of looking like he forgot how to play football this offseason, NO WAY Miles was going to start Lee over JJ......NO WAY!!

No, JJ's Chick-fil-a bowl performance did.

I would disagree. All indications from last year were that Miles was going with Lee to the bitter end. Jefferson coming in and having a decent bowl game gave him the leg up going into Spring ball.
I think Lee would have been far ahead of Jefferson going in to the Spring if he had had the kind of game Jefferson did in the Peach Bowl.

exactly, the peach bowl performance inked JJ as the 09 starter and there was nothing going to change that this offseason

between the peach bowl and spring camp nothing was going to change Jefferson from being the starter this season. JL would have had to have shown more in spring and fall camp to regain the starting spot and apparantly that didn't happen. Flip floppin QB's at this point seems counter productive. Fans need to give Jefferson more time to mature into his role before shredding him. To me he doesn't look that far off from being the kind of QB we need to run this offense.

do you even watch the games?

I think it is always better to go with experience over youth. Running game would be better b/c team would have to respect the deep ball. Would like to see combo of JJ and JL like JL and Hatch last year.

you have to have production first for something to counter it

You are correct. We do not need to flip-flop QB's. We need to flip-flop some of the o-linemen if the offense is to improve. Bobby Hebert said today on the radio that the Saints strength is their offensive line. LSU's weakness is their O-line. Hebert said the key to any offense starts with the o-line.

Without Lee's injury, Jefferson never, ever sees the field.
But the injury happened, so Jefferson got in, and, well, so far, the rest is history.
Think about this. Lee also took a beating from sacks last year. I mean, knocked in the head, body made into a rag doll type of sacks.
For that, he never, ever gets another shot.
That's rough. Especially when the guy that replaced you ain't exactly burning it up....but, that guy is 5-1 and number 10 in the nation.
So what you gonna do?

please don't procreate.

doubt that seriously. he keeps playing like he has and there will be changes.

his most egregious fault is his lack of reliable, repeatable throwing mechanics and real qb skills like pocket presence, touch passes, looking off receivers and pump fakes.

why...the kid is the key to our season and he has not performed at the level needed to sustain drives and put points on the board.

This is why we need to choose a QB and stick with him. The coaches must make a prediction on who they think the better QB will be, and try and develop him. Despite what one might think based off the bickering amongst fans, I think the coaches already have made up their mind.

i don't necessarily agree with this. the reason i don't is thta i've seen other programs do it successfully over the years. but, and it's a big but, i do not have the luxury of seeing them at practice and knowing their mental make-up either. there may be a way to do it w/o ruining anyone's confidence. it's possible that it won't be necessary as auburn and tulane are coming at a good time. really, JJ has only had one bad game and all qb's have bad games. i would let JL play a coupla series, though. of course, if JL plays and does good, the tiger fans will crucify JJ and demand JL to the guy.

Good luck with that. Fans of both (but to me at least it seems primarily fans of Lee) are so entrenched I don't think they're even able or willing to recognize or admit when the other QB does something right or when their favorite does something wrong. It's become more personal than football related for some and thus logic indicates it won't stop anytime soon.
