Name an offensive coordinator that LSU fans have ever liked:

Jimbo Fisher? No
Ed Zaunbrecher? No
Morris Watts? Kind of.
LSU fans have always placed blame on the offensive coordinator. I place this entire problem on inexperience at the QB position. I'm not blaming Jefferson or Lee personally, but if we had an upperclassman like we should, this would not be happening. Of course, that is the coaches' fault for leaving gaps in the recruiting. Perriloux getting kicked off was a big factor, but they should have had a contingency plan. Everyone knew he was risky from day one.

I think everyone has a legitimate beef with Crowton. He doesn't make any adjustments, during the game or in between games, doesn't develop QB's in the least bit, and insists upon running plays that everyone in the country can see are ineffective. His track record speaks for itself.

That it does. Have you ever looked at his track record? It's quite impressive. Those are some extremely broad generalizations you've made there. You obviously read the Rant a lot.

No one knows exactly what is going on with the offense. Whether Les Miles is overruling Crowton or whether Crowton turned lazy or just whatever. The thing is is that we keep trying to do something that doesn't work. The O Line is too weak to do all this option crap and neither Les Miles nor Crowton is stepping up to the plate and putting an end to it. It
feels like they worked so hard on the option that they don't have the energy to go to a different scheme. Getting paid multimilliona a year and not making adjustment, who cares if Tiger fans never like an O coordinator, this is about right now and we expect more out of our highly paid coaches.

2007, Gary Crowton, when he started off the year blasting MSU and VT. At the end of the game the VT staff and players were singing the praises of Gary Crowton for keeping them off balance all night long. Anyone know where that Gary Crowton went to???? We could sure could use him about now!

On the contrary, Jimbo Fisher was well liked.

LSU has a typical fan base for an area where football is king....

People liked Jimbo Fisher?? Common.. how does everyone forget so fast? This board used to blast Jimbo on a weekly basis. The King of bubble screens and the only OC in the nation who used the Fullback as the focal point of the offense.

the fans have a reason to complain. 12th in the league in offense? 109th in the nation in total offense? it doesn't matter that we are lsu fans, crowton is grossly underachieving given the talent on our team. he is doing enough to win a majority of our games, but obviously none are going to be shootouts.

No mention of Bob McConnell?

Jimbo was liked in 2001, 2003 and 2005. He was despised in 2000, 2002 and 2004.

Gerry Dinardo ran a pretty good offense.

you must not have a very good memory
LINK
that day Jimbo had:
the NFL #1 overall pick at QB
3 NFL WRs
1 NFL FB
2 NFL OL
FAR worse was said in the LSU community about Jimbo than has ever been said about Crowton
