He made a comment that stuck with me for two days now..You cant win in this league without a great quarterback. I know a lot of people on here find him annoying, but i thought he was right on all night..Jefferson, is absolutely not ready for primetime...

Tee Martin disagrees.

Flynn, Mauck, Greene, Leak, Shockey... are any of these guys great QBs?
Posted on 10/12/09 at 10:59 pm to seinfeldtiger
he said you can't win trying to hide the quarterback...

Greene
for one game in 2004 he was the greatest QB to ever step on the field, he looked like effin Joe Montana that day

Wow, quoting Gary Danielson as an expert. Isn't that an invitation to be struck by lightning or something. I said the same thing earlier. Gary Danielson thinks he is a better coach than anyone he ever sees in any of his games. All the QUACK does it second guess coaches. And Verne Lundquist needs to retire to Steamboat Springs and quit making college football go through what pro football did with Pat Summerall.
And yes, I did tell you how I feel. They are both squirrels compared to ESPN excellent group of analysts and play by play guys.

yeah, but to say you need a great QB to win in the SEC is plain ignorant.

I thought Flynn was a very good QB

Not great quarterbacks, but all made the most of their opportunities and were not afraid of being placed in that position. Even Tebow won't make it in the NFL as a quarterback, but is doing everything with his opportunity as well.
Jefferson is scared of his opportunity in what I have seen.

Bama went undefeated last year in the regular season with John Parker Wilson

Jefferson has no opportunity because of the poor OL play and Crowton's refusal to call any misdirection plays to slow down the pass/run rush.

Danielson is the best in the business. And he's right about JJ. Jefferson is not as good as he was advertised.

Actually yea, Im not to sure about Greene and Mauck ( cause baseball ) but these guys were all highly recruited guys.. I think all but one made a NFL roster. I agree with Danielson totally.

ironically, Danielson was advertising him as being a playmaker at the beginning of the game

highly recruited =/= a great QB. None of these guys were Russell, either Manning, Stafford, Tebow, Campbell (2004) etc...

making an NFL roster or being highly recruited make you great? You know how many shitty QBs "make an NFL roster" at some point?
