I am sure there is a reason Shepard didn't play.

Y'all are a bunch of "Ready, Shoot, Aim" dumb-fricks.

The smartest ones among you are destined to a lifetime of having your fist named sewed on your work shirts.

I think Les has earned the benefit of the doubt.

I agree, any college coach with as much success as Miles should earn the benefit of the doubt over arm-chair qbs. You will get bashed for that statement though.

You must have not watched the game. And if you did, and you still say that, well, move in with Les.

I love my team, and if the Coaches would have tried anything on offense to win this game and we lose, then hey, we lose. But when you see options that don't work and they still call the play, when almost no passes are thrown down field (heck, many teams do it just to loosen up the defense), and when your guy is paid 3.8 million, no benefit of the doubt. Do your job. That's all we are asking. Do your job like your life depended on it.

no one makes perfect decisions all the time. and in a forum which caters to football discussion, it is perfectly reasonable for fans to discuss potential fixes for obvious problems with our football team

and keep the insults to yourself. the correlation you attempt to make between criticizing a football coach and someones future career is a poor one at best.

Mile is burning through his "policitcal capital" faster than O'bama! LSU was completely outcoached Sat night.

I have not been a Miles basher but It does not take a rocket scientist to be a coach! Miles has not helped his cause.

1. Trying to call a timeout to stop the clock after a Int.

2. I don't remember the game but a few years ago, we scored with almost no time left to go up 5 and kick the extra point instead of going for 2. I thought if the run the kick back or some crazy fluke play happens, we lose! 5 or 6 does not matter!

3. Poor clock management over and over and over again.

4. LSU-Bama 2008- calling a timeout and then challenging a play. Wasting 2 timeouts to review this play!

5. LSU-Tenn 05- They should have spiked the ball and not tried to run the field goal unit in when jr tried to run at the end of the half.

Last night, did the media not ask Les why Shepard didn't play? Just curious to know what the reason was.

I didn't hear anything yet, but I'm sure the answer is the same as every other week when asked why didn't Shep get more touches

I know this sounds ludicrous, but what about this logic; Les concedes the FL game, figures we can beat AU with the system we have, then opens it all the way up against Alabama. then we get Fl again in the championship..?

I dont think that im smarter than miles, but every analyst, former coach, and former players that watched that game agreed that it was a terribly coached. Im not saying that i coulda done better, but another coach making millions of dollars a year coulda changed it up a little and played to win the game

They didn't even have to use Shepard as a quarterback, just put him in there and pitch to him and let him run or use the "threat" of him running/passing as a ploy. Just use what you have. Also, where the HELL is the discipline with this team! The biggest game of your careers and you have that many stupid penalties!
