Florida fans & a few observations

So first of all I'd like to start off by saying how overwhelmingly proud I am our boys. We didn't come out with the W as we all wish for, but I just cannot find it in my heart to be truly upset or angry about the loss. Yes, our O has a ton of work to do. To say we underperformed at the QB position is an understatement. But the D played with so much heart and passion that even in the midst of a loss I see a lot of hope if the D continues to play this way. They definitely showed us just how good they could be and that gives us a lot to feel good about. Now if they O could just get it together..
And to the fans who left with 6 minutes left: YOU SUCK. You freeking suck. As soon as half of you were leaving J. Eugene caught that interception and gave all the fans hope. Sure it didn't work out in our favor, but you had no idea of that at the time. I bet a good bit of you paid a ton of money for those seats so I will never understand how you could just leave with an entire five minutes left to play when we were only down by a touchdown and a field goal. Anything could have happened and that shows a lot to those 18 y.o.-22 y.o. boys who have been out there playing their butts all game. Did you momentarily forget that we were playing the number one team and defending national champions? Guess not, but then again you were probably the same people who left for the Troy game last year and missed an incredible comeback.
Lastly, I would like to address the issue I had with the Florida fans at the game. Yeah yeah, I know each fan base has their bad batch. Lord knows we do. I did tailgate with some nice UF fans before the game, but after the game it seems I ran into every single jerk of a fan--male and female--than I've ever seen of an opposing fan base in Baton Rouge. When we won in Athens last week I did not see LSU fans walking around and taunting UGA fans. I am talking about being in their faces and screaming Geaux Tigers and crap like that. The biggest display of team spirit I saw after the game was LSU fans high fiving each other. Most of the UGA fans said "good game" and we of course reciprocated the gesture as we told them how good a game each team played. Just no need to be ugly about it.
But last night as I was walking from the stadium to the car I was taunted a countless amount of times. It took a ton of restraint not to punch the guido doing the gator chomp in my face. Or the 40 year old woman following me while in my ear screaming "Why aren't you tigerbaiting me now, princess?", or the idiot group of men running in front of our cars in the parking lot while screaming "LSU SUCKS!". But those are just a few examples. The only other time I have really felt this strongly about a fan base was during the Ole Miss games in Oxford, which was almost somewhat understandable since I was wearing a band uniform at the time.
All in all, great game, awesome T.S. experience (I think I have officially converted my Vandy alum bf), and a great performance by the Tiger Defense. Can't wait until Auburn, and hopefully we will meet up with the Gators again in Atlanta.

I had some florida woman in my face after the game, took everything in me not to say something serious back. She doesn't know who she was messing with.

What is the freeking deal with that? I have never had seen Bama fans or Auburn fans do that to people in BR. You won. Isn't that enough? Now go party with your friends and don't cause trouble.

i'm sorry you had such shitty experiences with the gator fans
mine were all pretty pleasant
in general though, complaining about the other teams fans is pretty petty IMO
every game, every week, every school, everywhere...there will be shitty fans

I saw one group of Florida fans stop a car full of LSU fans at an intersection, pull them out of the car, curb stop them, and light the car on fire.

Florida is a beautiful state but probably the red-neckiest state in the union. Lived in Panama City for 2 yrs, wow, what a bunch of mullet and jort wearing retards. Plus you have the Yankee transplant factor -- so, two obnoxious groups of people (inbred rednecks, and crass Yankee aholes) merging in a melting pot of shite.

Rarely have issues with bama or au fans. most want to get drunk with us afterwards.
Florida has always been that way even before visor boy. The state has bad apples from one end to the other. first you have the north florida rednecks that are terrible and give florida the jort image. secondly you have the central and south florida snobs that are your typical yanks. They are some of the cockiest people you will ever deal with and those are the get in your face florida fans that people come to hate. I had a friend of mind that went to florida state says you have to man up against him and not tolerate their shite.
I did last night took him to the ground and asked him how is the gator chomp now bitch.

Guys, come on. I love LSU but our fans are pretty terrible about this kind of thing. Tons of LSU fans do this sort of thing, so you have to expect it back.

not saying you are wrong, or lying, but i certainly cannot share your sentiments
i actually told my wife, if all the fans in gainesville where like the ones i talked to last night....i might take her there in a few years
they were not typical of the ones i experienced on my 2 trips there, and that was a good thing

and when it happens I usually get physical. I enjoy nothing more than whipping the shite of some cocky arse gator fan.

It was windows up for the rest of the parking lot ride.
