remind me again what Lee did against this same Florida defense last season

Two long sustained drives, in the Swamp, and hung 21 points on this exact same defense. Had them on their heels after the drive opening the second half. The only ones on their heels with JJ as QB are the fans-clearly the defense isn't threatened.

At this point in the season, there is no putting Lee in for a series or two. Any move to Lee is a permanent one.

I'm not making a call for one or the other, but something's gotta give. There are only three new starters on offense from last year. There shouldn't be as big of a drop off in offensive production as there has been.

LSU has tremendous problems on offense. The O-line is pathetic. Ciron Black is a big Lug!!T-Bob Hebert is one of the smallest centers we have ever had!! Any team waiting to play us, just has to hand the ball off and run straight up the middle for 6-7 yards. How easy is that to plan for!! LSU will be lucky to win another SEC game!!
I am disappointed with Les Miles and Crowton, but maybe they don't have that much to work with when it comes with having the smarts!!

JL got us back in that game last season at 20-14 ... then our co-DCs got shredded in the second half .. JJ would have lost a helluva lot worse than that last season ..

hard to believe people are blaming JJ for the offensive woes.

you give a qb no running game and let the defense blow up the pocket with 3-4 rushers, good things arent going to happen. its a miracle that the guy isnt making a ton of mistakes.

T-Bob is bigger (listed) than our starting center last season. Black is making Big Herm look better and better every game.

LSU doesn't have a great O-Line and D-Line this year. You need to start with these two problems and hopefully team can come together, but I don't see it happening. We have alot of problems!!

We have no running game because they know we can't pass.

no, you have a terrible running game because the line doesnt block and gets destroyed at the point of attack.

if teams knew you couldnt pass they wouldnt be rushing 3 and dropping 8.

Very well said.

This.

Another question. Last year, our QB was struggling and the poor kid got booed out of the stadium. Why no boos for JJ? Have we gotten better manners (doubtful). To me, a three and out, going backwards, after a big defensive stand is every bit as deflating to a team as a pick six. For whatever reason, poor QB play is getting a pass this season.

Man, that is cold to say about any Tiger, I hope you were just joking. Are you really that confident that JJ is the long term answer at QB?? I am not even pushing for Lee to start, but he needs to play a couple of sets of downs every game. Last year was a long time ago- let's see what he can do this year. I would hate to see Lee transfer, just because Les simply won't give him a shot to play.

Boos have been scattered, mostly on plays where the fans think he's taking too long to get the snap off. At least that's my interpretation. Lee didn't start getting booed until about week 7 or 8, give the fans time.

Yeah, throw in Lee. Until he loses a game. Then throw in Jefferson or whoever. Until they lose a game. Call it the One Loss Strategy or whatever. Brilliant.

Would not have chosen those exact words, but nonetheless this is correct.

Wonder who Lafell and Toliver, future NFL 1st rounders, would rather have in the pocket?

Don't know if he should start, but he certainly should have been given a shot in the second half last night. Would it have produced anything? who knows but it couldn't have hurt.
