Was Oregon 04 the year that we did that over the head sneaky fake punt move? If so, Im +1 for that game.

oregon st 04 was amazing

the 03 national championship flag being raised, the crowd staying crazy through the storm, he streaker, the comeback, ot, and the wonderful kicking ability of the beaver kicker

plus this is the first game i heard someone say "i want to see oregon st play south carolina. south carolina would win, then the headline the next day would read 'Cocks pund the Beavers.'" good thing i heard this in the bathroom while i was taking a piss because if not i would have pissed myself

Actually the Florida St. rain game you speak of was in 91', and that was the most drenched I have been in TS, and it just kept coming. Fla St. did not take the lead until the first play of the 4th quarter. And also, it did not rain in either the USC game in 79' nor the Florida St. game in 82', however both were incredible games.

fresno state was a downpour that postponed the game for at least an hour, small crowd but great atmosphere

Miami in '88. Rain was coming in sideways. Not so great a game however. Miami won 44-3.

Jesus H. That was wicked. They brought their own damn hurricane with them. It was miserable.
Ruffin Rodrigue suffered brain damage during the game. Claimed that LSU "dominated" on the field after the game.

Yeah that was the other game I forgot to mention, S. Carolina 07' rained like a sonofabitch. Took my daughter to her first game that day, and we both went to bathrooms, and naturally we fake field goal while I was in the pisser. Did not mind missing chip shot field goal, however we pull off great fake, and we miss it!

I was there and the Gestapo Seat Cop stopped us from moving from the first row up into the higher empty seats in the north end zone at the beginning of the 4th Qtr.

At that point in time there couldn't have been more than 20,000 in the stands but that dude was doing his job. He was going to protect those empty seats from granny and grandpa so help him god. Jesus was I pissed.

At one point Dalton Hilliard returned a kick to about midfield at which point he slid into a muddy puddle as went past three would be tacklers for even more yards.

Uhhh, this ain't the NFL...wouldn't he would be down where he started his slide, right?

As I recall we had FSU on the ropes in the 1st half, the FSU players were laughing on the sidelines

No he put on the breaks at the puddle as if to cut, but remained on his feet and just glided through it

No question for me it's USC '79.
Was a beautiful nite as I recall?

Absolutely right. Excuse my feeble memory. It was the Alabama game that year that was played in a steady rain. Lost 3-0 as I recall and they eventually won the MNC, Bryant's last one.

Oregon State.

One of the students rushed the field while in delay and juked out one of the security guards.

Perhaps the greatest rain ever in TS, but like you said - lousy game.
