A.J. Green's Final Pushoff was called...

When he pushed off his teammates and was flagged for excessive celebration.
The irony meter was spinning out of control on that one.
All game long he should have been flagged for pushing off. He finally got called. Had he stayed with his teammates to celebrate, no call. When he pushed off and pointed to himself....fifteen yards.
Perfect!

That guy does it all the time and gets away with it. Look at the play that Peterson complained about. Even the commentators made reference to it. Rediculous. Can't believe he gets away with that crap. Maybe his flag after the touchdown was just Karma.

Green pushed off the week before against Arizona State and made a big play. It put GA in FG range.
Yes, Karma is a bitch.

If Green was wearing Purple and Gold all would be praising his greatness for what it truly is.
The guy is great and makes plays.
PP did well against him, yet got burned early in the game bigtime, but Cox is not very good.
The celebration calls were pathetic both ways.

Yea the guy is great. But a push off is still a push off, dumbass.

He's pretty good, but I wouldn't call him great. I've you've even remotely monitored his career at UGA, he has a long history of pushing-off to create separation. He's been flagged for it a ton of times too.

I don't understand all the talk about AJ Green's push offs. Bottom line is that everyone in the country knew that the SEC's best were going to be matched up all game. It would be two future pros who were going to be physical and go at each other. With that physicality comes contact. Sure, Green might have given Peterson a bump here or there but don't kid yourself into thinking Peterson wasn't going to push back and fight for position.
For instance, look at the attempted fade in the endzone when Peterson broke the play up. His arm was wrapped around Green's waist and he reached around to bat the ball down. Technically, is it pass interference? Yes. But it was a physical game from the get-go, and Patrick Peterson was playing physical and made a good play. Watch the NFL games today. Pushing and fighting for position happens every play. It's the way the game is played.

You must not be paying attention. Green is widely known throughout the SEC as a WR who pushes off of the defender to create separation; many times it should result in a flag. Most of the time it doesn't.

Finally objectivity visits the rant.

Has it? Or is it, rather, an ignorance of facts? I'll let you two play footsie with the idea that Green is a great WR...who doesn't push off of the DB on a very regular basis to get separation.

You show me an NFL receiver who doesn't push off, and I'll show you one who won't be in the league too long. It's part of the game, and Peterson knew who to play with him--be physical back. It was a great matchup all game and was fun to watch.

Green earned their last TD w/o a push-off or any penalty.
If that was LaFell, you would be sniffing his sweaty jock right now.

They all push off. I get it. But Green has made a career of doing it on tons of receptions, many of them long gains or game-changing catches.
YOU'RE NOT PAYING ATTENTION TO WHAT I'M SAYING!!!!

What is this weak-arse shite? Are your really retarded or did you decide to just act like it today?
I never said Green pushed off on that last TD; in fact, it's one of the more athletic plays I've ever seen in the end-zone by any player.
Doesn't change the fact that if YOU FOLLOW SEC FOOTBALL AND EVEN REMOTELY FOLLOW GREEN'S CAREER, you'd know that the knock on him, not only from fans, is that he pushes off to create separation in such a way that it should be called.
Geez...the non-reading dumbasses are out in force this morning.

THEN WHAT ARE YOU SAYING??? It sounds like "Green has made a career of pushing off and catching touchdowns" while I'm saying "All the good receivers push off."

You are a dumbass for not understanding football.
Green's so-called push-offs are just pure homerism rearing its ugly head.
Give opponents credit.
The guy is great, but your dumbass is too dumb to know.

Had he stayed with his teammates after the TD, no penalty.
Great catch, he didn't push off on that one.
He has pushed off consistently throughout his career.
Last week, GA won after he pushed off the AZ State DB. No call.
I was just pointing out that there is a lot of whining from GA fans about the call, but not a word when he doesn't get called...which is often.
