All I hear is how LSU got the ball on the 38, and how UGA was screwed.
-UGA could've had good kickoff coverage and brought Trindon down before he returned the kick 41 yards.
-UGA could've not let charles scott steam roll their arse.
-UGA could've had better special teams coaching...knowing you must have at least 4 players on either side of the kick formation.
-UGA could act like they have been in the endzone before and not act like they've won the superbowl.
P.S. We got screwed on an intentional grounding call, a missed face mask, terrible spot when we went for the 4th down, and a fumble by Shep where we lost 5 yards (that wasn't a fumble).

IF UGA kicks it out of bounds on purpose where does LSU get the ball?? On the 35 or what??
If so then that is poor game management on UGA's part!

doesn't matter. we won and they don't eat crow well. We have next week to really put a stamp on this team and season. We just have to do it. Talking heads mean 0 in the grand scheme of things. Just feel good bullshite.

I couldn't agree more. I am sick and tired of the "experts" on TV saying that the only reason LSU won today was because of the excessive celebration penalty on AJ Green. Although I agree it was a bad call, it's NOT LSU's fault that UGA lined up wrong on the kickoff. It is NOT LSU's fault that they have the fastest guy in college football returning kicks to give them good field position. It is NOT LSU's fault that UGA was unable to tackle Charles Scott on his TD run (maybe it is a little bit of LSU's fault lol). LSU got the EXACT same penalty after that touchdown. LSU went down and covered the kick very well. It is NOT LSU's fault that UGA mishandled the snap and that Joe Cox threw two horrible passes, the second of which got picked off. Both teams had a LOT of chances to put this game away on both offense and defense, so I don't want to hear about one call causing UGA the game. LSU didn't hang their heads when UGA scored with less than 2 mins left. LSU went down and scored. UGA hung their heads after that and then the priceless picture of Joe Cox crying as he walked off the field.

ESPN, CBS, UGA,
I'm more confused why they are spinning it this way. It takes away from the epic ratings monster that they want to go down in BR next week.

what a great question... hmmm

Let's not mention how we dominated the game and dropped 3 interceptions. UGA had no business even being in the game that late.

Not a bad call... a dumb rule. What they showed on was not even what got Georgia the penalty. And since when does 15 yards equal a touchdown? And CS would have gained 15 more yards had he had a longer field.
You want to talk about bad calls what did LSU do to deserve their penalty?? Pointing to God is all I saw!

If you look up the official rule in NCAA rule book, it clearly states.... After a touchdown a player can either (A) hand the ball to an official, or (B) gently lay the ball on the ground. Anything other than this, is a 15 yard unsportsmanlike foul.

the celebration penalty did not cost uga the game. poor ko coverage did. lsu outplayed uga pretty much all day and deserved to win. good ole fashioned heart-wrenching sec battle.

I knew there was at least 1 UGA fan that would understand the penalty was not the "deciding factor" in the game.

Nice work with the exact rule. What fascinates me is that what Charles Scott did seemed to be the exact thing that he has done every time he has ever been in the endzone. I think the fact that he was out of the back of the endzone made it appear as though he was pointing towards the crowd. Poor AJ Green was TRYING to hand the ball to the official, but was being mobbed by his team mates. I think that call ultimately was called on the whole team, not Green himself, they just said #8 b/c he was the one that scored. Just an opinion. But, have to agree, it is a dumb rule. Let the kids have fun and play the game.
