Choice: Saints SB or LSU MNC?

A friend of mine asked me this the other day. If I could choose, would I pick the Saints to win the Super Bowl this year, or for LSU to win another national championship this year?
At first, I said LSU. But, I am a Saints fan too and I started thinking of all the years of misery. My family is all from New Orleans and I started thinking about my Papaw (who died when I was 17) and my cousins and uncles and my Dad who calls me several times a week to tell me about what is going on with the Saints and we talk multiple times during the games (that I usually can't see from Alabama).
So, I thought about all that and I thought about how great it has been for LSU to win 2 MNC's the past few years. But, I had to side with the Saints winning the Super Bowl. It was a tough, tough choice. I still consider myself a bigger LSU fan than Saints fan (although it is REAL close). But, Saints Super Bowl it is.
Opinions?

If I had to choose, I would say the Saints winning a Super Bowl. It's their time to shine and show the rest of the NFL what they can do.

I would rather see the saints win 2 superbowls than the tigers due to the BCS being BS.

The Saints have never been to a Superbowl, but if LSU goes to the National Championship this year, my dad pays my graduate school tuition. So...

If the saints won the superbowl LSU could go 6-6 for the next ten years and I'd be ok with it.... and I fricking love LSU.

Saints. I've already lived through 2 LSU National Championships. Now it's time to see a Super Bowl. I'd take 3 straight Super Bowl wins for LSU haveing 3 straight losing seasons

A. This is the Saints board, I will assume most will say saints, because not all are LSU fans.
B. LSU has won 2 national championships already. Saints have none.
I would much rather see the Saints win. Plus they have a better chance than LSU this year IMO.

No doubt I would choose the Saints SB. That win would mean much more to the city and the Saints die hard fans than another MNC for LSU. LSU has had 2 in the last 6 years.
