We really need something to light a fire under this team. The Talent is there. They have shown flashes of being great.

They need to play with a chip on their shoulders.

Keep it coming national guys...

No, someone needs to light a fire under Les' arse.

Why does everyone say the talent is there, then we start threads saying how most of this team wouldn't start for the other top teams in the SEC? That doesn't add up.

If Miles needs someone else to light his own arse on fire, he needs to start packing.

I would love for Les & staff to not only prove the national media wrong, but to also shut up the naysayers like myself who think that's he's done a piss poor job with all this talent so far this season.

Miles pregame speech should include and only include quotes about how overrated LSU is.

If that doesn't motivate the team, this team is going no where fast.

I understand this is the rant, but posts like this still amaze me. Either this guy/gal is 10, or they know very little about football.

Maybe we should seriously consider a ranking system for posters and keep posters like this at the kiddie table.

I know this is the opposite, but Saban used to talk about trying to get the team to not believe the hype. I seem to recall him talking about this going into the '03 game against Florida.

In other words, the media and fanbase influences the team in ways the coach can't completely control.

I love that EVERY thread on this board has someone twisting words and turns it into a "Fire Les Miles" thread. Awesome board. Awesome posts guys. It's great reading.

I simply stated if Miles cant get this team ready to play, or "fired up", we need a new coach.

If anyone disagrees, give me your take on the subject.

Wasn't my intent at all. I actually prefer Miles' demeanor. He doesn't get too high or too low. Let the assistants go crazy, but he should be a calming presence.

He doesnt seem to do much of anything IMO. Well he watches the replays on the scoreboard and makes faical expressions all game while pacing back and forth on the sidelines asking the players and coordinators "what happened"...

The media is quick to write teams off and give other teams too much credit.
Every time I see LSU get bashed or down talked they come out and perform really good (ex. LSU in Chick-fil-a bowl '08).
