1 reception? What gives?

I know JJ probably feels most comfortable with JoJo and Tolliver, with Randle being a true freshman but still.

Any insight?

Don't you know that we are saving him, along with the rest of arsenal, for UF

in order for randle to catch the passes that have been thrown his way thus far he'd have to be making some crazy arse circus catches.

This is certainly the perception. I can't see how that will not negatively impact recruiting next year.

Most likely the reason. Same reason TT didn't see much action last year.

That does not seem to be a problem at USC, Bama, Mich, or Fl.

Just sayin...

For some reason this didn't stop Top freshman WRs across the country such as J.Jones, AJ Green, Golden Tate, Arrelious Benn etc., from contributing DAY ONE. No one is saying Randle should take Lafell or Toliver's spot, but the guy should be getting tons of time and catches at the 3rd WR spot.

LSU has had the No.1 WR coming out of high school in 2 of the last 3 years (Toliver & Randle) yet neither of them can contribute at all as freshman for whatever reason. Meanwhile, all across the country, stud freshman WRs are making HUGE impacts for other teams.

It seems like they only run 11-12 plays..he should know the playbook by now.

Do we think maybe there are a lot of kids on the team rsfr-sr. that cant learn the playbook therefore, vanilla?

i also hope that playbook shortens to 10 cause the swing toss to the rb in 4wide, hasnt worked in two years.

he's been thrown to several times. most have been off-the-mark passes. He seems to be blocking well when he is in, but with Lafell and TT being far and away more experienced and more in sync with JJ it seems like Randle's touches will continue to be limited.

Well that's the long version of what I was saying.

Are the receivers that are making catches really a problem with this team at this point?

Yes some insight. We are saving him for the NFL. That's why none of our running backs will bang it up either. ooops got off the subject.

maybe randle just hasn't perfected the fine art of the lsu pass strategy:

run a 35 yard fade or deep post

stop in the middle of the field

wait for a severly underthrown pass to finally get to you

be prepared to come back 10 yards to catch underthrown ball

JJ is pretty accurate at all distances when given time to throw
