Over the past year or so, I've traveled to various regions of Mississippi, and I've been thoroughly impressed with what I've found. Here are some of my favorites:
Mammy's Cupboard (Natchez)
Lorman Country Store (Lorman)
The Bourbon Mall (Bourbon)
The Dinner Bell (McComb)
Crystal Grill (Greenwood)
Mama Hamils (Ridgeland)
Country Fisherman (Jackson)

It is pretty damn good...I put on a lot of weight when I lived there. Love the Mayflower in Jackson, Crystal Grill in Greenwood, Does in Greenville, and number of really small hole in the wall places that you'd probably never find.

Yep... and The Bourbon Mall makes one of the best steaks I've ever had. They also make some fried tamales which are pretty tasty...

I am not a fan of bland country food. My in-laws used to live in McComb and I have been subjected to the Dinner Bell torture many times. You may have my share.

I guess because I grew up eating alot of that stuff, the Dinner Bell was an absolute waste of time for me. Went once and that was enough for me.
