I am satisfied with the record but NO; the team performance is a barometer of the intensity of their coaches. This could easily cause these talented kids to loose respect of those coaches and have internal problems creep in amongst one another when the competition level get's better. And that is coming soon, so we shall see.

Overall, yes
Scale of 1 - 10, I'd say 6...room for improvement, especially on the lines.

You're right. 20 year old kids have TONS more respect for a guy who will work through their mistakes with them than a guy who will rip their head off for them...

Yes, i am pleased to see us struggle against Washington, Vandy, USL(please don't say we dominated).
Everything is going so well, defense dominated a damn strong bowl eligible ULL team.
Oh and to Josh Jasper![](https://images.tigerdroppings.com/Images/Icons/Iconbow.gif)

No....fla, ala and om will destroy our offensive line

Yes, contrary to popular opinion, LSU has shown improvement each game. The defense is definitely getter better. The offensive line played better last night.
Here is food for thought. ULL beat K St. last week 17-15. UCLA beat K St. yesterday 23-9. UCLA beat Tenn in Knoxville last week by four or five points. That being said, is ULL not comparable to Tenn based upon the first 3 weeks of the season? And Tenn only lost to the mighty Gators by 10 yesterday. So, maybe, just maybe, the Tigers first 3 opponents this season are better than LSU fans have given them credit for. Certainly, UW is much better as evidenced by them beating USC.
If Tiger fans think LSU has been less than stellar, then they should look around the country at the rest of the teams.
Alabama - only led Fla. Intl. 20-14 at half last week.
Ole Miss - beating SLU 52-6 last night is extremely misleading. I watched most of the game and Ole Miss is vastly overrated, especially on defense. There is NO WAY Ole Miss wins the SEC much less be in the discussion for the BCS by season's end.
Arkansas - You think LSU's defense is not up to par? The Hogs' secondary can't cover a lick. Joe Cox of UGA looked like a Heisman candidate last night as UGA's receivers were blowing past the Hogs' coverage like it was not even there.
Notre Dame- If not for Mich St's QB overthrowing a wide open WR for a TD at the end of yesterday's game, the Irish would be, should be 1-2.
USC - see UW loss.
Ohio St. - Not impressive offensively. Still very slow at the skill positions.
Texas - less than impressed with its victory over Texas Tech. Tech's skill players are not nearly as athletic as LSU's and got open at will against UT.
Georgia - UGA's D has surrendered 30 plus points to South Carolina and Arkansas.
Penn St. - Who has PSU beaten this season of any consequence?
Florida St. - Good performance against BYU, but barely hung on to beat Jacksonville St. last week.
Florida - did not dominate Tenn as everyone predicted would happen.
The ONLY team that has been impressive to me after 3 weeks is the U. I know Miami plays in the ACC, but right now, I don't think there is a team in the ACC that can match the Canes' speed and athleticism. The Canes talent level is moving back to where it once was, which is damn good.
So, the point of my rambling is to illustrate that all LSU fans should be happy we are 3-0 and ranked number 7 because, thus far, I don't see another team in the country that has not exhibited flaws or poor play at times. As a result, I will let the heart of the SEC schedule be the judge of how good this LSU team will be.

I am pleased with 3-0. Even the best team in the history of LSU could only be 3-0. However, this may be one of our worse 3-0 teams ever.

Yes because of 3 wins
No because of how bland both sides of the ball have played. Hopefully as we get into the meat of the schedule the coaches will open it up some.

Very pleased.... we've gotten better every game.

Yes, we are 3-0. But we need improvement in run blocking and pass rush. I think JJ will be OK.
Posted on 9/20/09 at 9:02 pm to Lucky Loper
Yes because I've seen improvement each week. These are tune-up games, not meant to be fought with every tool in the arsenal.

No way too much talent for how we are playing. I may be harsh by saying this but anything less than or = to 8-4 should get Miles fired. 9-3 I can live with nd give him one more shot but I saw this coming at the end of the 2007 season. The team is taking on Miles lacsidasical attitude on the side line and its started happening at the end of 2007.
