I am not being negative and truly believe that LSU could still have a great season and their best football is in front of them. I am not down and them like most people and just want to take it one week at a time BUT with that being said doesn't anyone really think that right now we are the seventh best team in the country?

Based on what I have seen from LSU, I say no. Based on what I have seen from the rest of the country, I say yes.

Yes, RIGHT NOW we actually are. Not sure where we'll end up in a few weeks though.

Exactly everyone else looks about in the same shape. No one has blown me away with their play.

No, but they are 3-0 with a boat load of talent and so it must be such.

Maybe. On my MSB ballot I had LSU at 7, but I can understand people putting Boise, Cincy, and Miami ahead of LSU. Still they are definitely a top 10-12 team.

The LSU rubber will begin meeting the SEC road for real starting easy enough with MS State next Sat. Then we'll soon see if talent, raw and perhaps undeveloped/unfocused, is enough to compete successfully at the SEC level of play week after week.

Looking at USC...
playing at Wash, how can anyone not agree that they are much better than LSU?

Given everyone's play, LSU is right where it belongs. Not overly impressed with Ole Miss, Bama or anyone else.

LSU will be fine.

I don't see much validity at all to polls until about the 4th or 5th game of the season, so I can't tell whether LSU is 7th best or not...granted, they haven't been blowing people out, but up to this point we really don't know how good our opponents are either...my gut tells me that both us and ole miss are currently overrated, but time will tell...

From what I have seen thus far, I would put Cincy and Miami ahead of us. But Penn St. and Ole Miss would be behind.
