Looking for suggestions of a good plate lunch place in BR around LSU.

it sounds far but its not, across the river, lobdell exit, bergerons. Best stuffed pork chop on monday .Great bbq on wednesday, i think thursday is hamburger steak. all solid
that being said brew bachers has a mean hamburger steak special on tues or wednesday, cant remember the day

mathernes grocery (on highland south of campus) does a good cheap one.
BR isn't the best place for plate lunches I've noticed...

There's a chevron on florida blvd. right by I-110 that has great plate lunches

+1 on Bergeron's and Zeeland St.
Bergeron's is easier to and from than College Dr.
Harrington's downtown has really good daily specials as well.

I was down at the Capitol this morning and drove away thru Spanish Town and there was Capitol Grocery's sidewalk sign with their daily lunch menu. I had forgotten about that place. Not so terribly close to campus and parking can be a challenge, but you can park near the capitol when the session's not in, and walk the block to the Grocery for a good plate lunch.

Crawford's on Staring near Perkins/Essen used to have pretty good plate lunches. Anyone know if they still have lunch specials?
