(I am in no way saying the sky is falling or I'm on cloud 9 with this football team)

How many of you are simply trying to reassure yourself that everything's ok? I see about a dozen threads with similar message that COMMANDS that people stop second guessing the football team. Are you the same poster who creates threads about the 2000 UAB and 2004 Cap One football games and then posts Les Miles's bowl games record?

Again, I act as an independent on any issue, but a spade is a spade. Some of you have a dead battery and you're trying to show how awesome of a paper weight it can be.

Hey I just find it funny, that in these threads they are same people that bad mouthed LSU last season.

Do we have our problems? Sure. Name another team besides Florida and Texas don't. You all act like other teams are just going to destroy us. Both UW and Vanderbilt are pretty good teams. It isn't like we almost lost to Tulane or anything. Ya'll we'll come around.

It is too bad the offensive line has played badly and the play calling has been about as creative as another video game based on world wars. Otherwise, we might have looked better the last two games. The defense isn't as much of a disaster as last year...not yet, anyway

Isn't it funny that after every single SEC game (or any game for that matter) that is decided by 2 scores or less, that we have a thread with Les Miles's stats within it. It never fails. Going strong since 2005...

I am still waiting for my official "I stayed and cheered for the whole Troy game" T-shirt from LSU.

I know, right. Another thing is that the same people being negative right now is the same as last year. I just got called an idiot because some posters do not agree with me saying that UW and Vanderbilt will probably be bowl eligible. Those posters just love controversy.

Play calling varied alot more this week. It's still hard to play in the rain.

I thought the Tigers looked better tonight.

There's still a lot of room for improvement.

We'll see what happens.

2-0 is the bottom line.

I agree JVR. I love this team and am excited for improvement...alas, I am getting sick and tired of the "Crowton didn't wanna show too much" or "____ is in Miles's doghouse" blabbers.

dude. we are gonna be 5-0 when florida comes to town. that is all that matters.

think about the 2 teams we have played.. they may look like crappy teams but they actually may be a ton better than given credit for. time will tell.. either way it doesn't even matter. winning is all that matters.

You'll get it. That ceremony is next week and a day after the "I attended the 2006 Fresno State game" one.

I don't mind serious discussion of strengths and weaknesses, but at this point I don't think anyone can make any definitive conclusions. I told people last week that they really shouldn't put too much stock in the game as it was week 1 and bugs were getting worked out. Unfortunately, I don't think we found out as much as we'd like from game 2 due to all the rain. So I still say we need a couple more weeks to see what we've really got here. ...But a lot of posters are reminding me of Rob Schnieder from the movie, Waterboy. "Oh no, we suck again!"

Washington beat Idaho tonight but they still gave up 412 Yards to IDAHO.

5 wins, better than last year and better than Rant said before LSU/Washington game but still.

I am not eligible for that one.

The one home game since 2005 that I watched on TV.

Pisces, obviously my thread is one of the ones you are referring to here. I am in no way saying the team is above criticism nor do I realistically think we'll win an NC playing how we have, but lots of people on here are going overboard over a performance in 2 games where our QB has completed 65% of his passes despite several drops and smart throw aways. We've won comfortably (by more than 7 points) in both games. UW game was actually 15, despite the late score. We were up 15 on the last play, so I'd say that is comfortably.

While we have had our issues, we've trailed for exactly a drive and 1 play this season so far.

People are being way too critical, and jumping to ridiculous conclusions (Re: put in Lee since JJ can't throw it deep, and Re: our defense still sucks because we gave up 7 points and 210 yards.) and basically claiming there is no way for this team to improve.

that is the problem.
