Were many here thinking the DBs were going to be a strength this year? If so, has that changed? Thoughts on Locker's passing stats?

bryso could throw for that if he could sit around all day waiting for people to get open.

It was the first game of the season. Give them some time to gel. By season's end, you will be able to answer your own question without asking it.

the problem isnt personnel - the problem was scheme.

one of the worst coaching performances ive seen from LSU in a very very long time - from offensive play calling to defensive scheme.

still scratching my head over that game.

Locker is a stud, no doubt about it.

New defense + new starters + Locker = a stout qb performance

does not matter how good they are, when the coaches have them playing 10 yards off the WR, they will give up receptions.

Chad Jones' performance in that game worries me a bit...

This is EXACTLY what we were screaming about until Losingham's defenses the past several years.

Was considered to be a strength. Let there be no doubt that Locker was well coached and looked incredibly accurate on his throws, even in the rare times when he got pressure.

I think the DBs will be sound if they'll get back to basics (i.e. wrap up and tackle!).

It looked like you were hiding a Nickleback or #2 corner who couldn't play man. As much as everyone cried 3rd and Chavis the last few years I cannot fathom an entire half w/ no man coverage on 3rd down.

Chad hasn't been a game-changer to this point like I thought he might be. The only big-time play I can remember was the sack of Sarah Jessica Parker Wilson.

I am thinking the DB's in general take a step up when Loston starts playing. But obviously or other (nonPP) corner position needs some help.

locker is a stud, he could put up bit number this year. having said that, LSU needs to do a better job tackling.
